Olive Hostel was perfectly located in CBD, close to all the amenities & centrally located to all the attractions!! It’s very private, safe & beautifully landscaped!!! Included Filipino breakfast’s options break the daily monotony!!! Rooms are all private, nicely appointed, spacious, comfortable, safe and clean!!! But the best part - the staff - who adopted me!!! They were friendly yet professionals, accommodating yet respectful!!! The ambiance was perfect setting to socialize with other guests, which I loved; I got to meet a lot of wonderful people my entire stay!!!! This friendly and chilled place will go down nicely with western budget travellers, with it's nice all weather outdoor sitting area where you can..... Coming from Iloilo, I was in paradise. I booked the cheapest fan room they had. I'm a solo traveller, so for me it was fine, but it could be a bit crammed for 2 people. It came with towel, soap and toilet paper. The cheapest rooms are in an old building, worn in the edges, but that's not the same as dirty. Everything was as clean as old rooms can be. I liked that the wash basin was in the room instead of in the bathroom. Cold shower only, but that's ok for me. There are many much better rooms for those who require more facilities, but when there are outdoor areas as nice as this, then I really don't need much. Excellent WiFi. Free hot and cold water dispenser. Cold drinks including beers, for sale. And I got my room early. So nice of them.
