The place is near a park and a beautiful bridge. The hosts are nice and easy-going. The apartment is clean throughout, and all the necessary equipment is provided. It is easy to get from the railway station to the apartment by bus. I also liked the view from the window.

The place was immaculate and extremely comfortable. I felt really at home. The staff was very communicative and made sure I was aware of planned power outages (which was very helpful!) and arranged for cleaning. I was very impressed by the communication!

Our third stay at the Lauden hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast options in the connected restaurant are great as well.

Absolutely loved my stay at Villa "Pi". It was located next to the town's castle, about a 5 minute walk from the center. Off the cobblestone streets, entire into the villa's courtyard via a green door and climb into the villa which has beautiful views over the city. The villa was very quiet and peaceful, beautifully furnished with a vineyard decor (I believe they do wine tastings, etc.). Breakfast is in the wine cave. The room was very spacious and had all accommodations needed. There are a few rooms around the villa to just sit and read - I only wish I had not been there for work and could have taken advantage of just doing that very thing. My stay was made absolutely complete by Svetlana, a new staff member who was just the sweetest and kindest person you will meet!

You can park your car on the territory for free. You have few breakfast types to choose from like American, English or Ukrainian etc. Really great staff working there making sure you enjoy your stay. If you are leaving early you can get breakfast to go.

I loved everything about this beautiful hotel!! From the food to the staff to the unique artistic approach to the hotel, it was an experience I will never forget!!! Although Ukraine is at war, and there are air raid sirens often, this is more than made up for in the fantastic features of this hotel. I REALLY appreciated Victoria at the front desk, who helped me find a ride to Slovakia.

At the time I booked, there were limited options, as I was there the weekend of Orthodox Easter, a national holiday and time of family gatherings. The room was quiet and clean, with a bathroom in the room. There was a TV set, though I couldn't quite figure out how to work it--and as far as I could tell, there were only local programs.
Great value for money
Let me check in early too
Clean and comfortable for a short stay
Hotel is part of one of the best pubs I've ever seen
There are MasterChefs in that kitchen too
Specializing in both Ukrainian and hungarian food
Staff are wonderful
Will stay here again next time

I enjoyed the Ethnographic museum next to the castle very much. The castle itself has various museums, often with no common theme. The churches in the city--especially the Greek Catholic cathedral, Holy Savior and Holy Protection Orthodox cathedrals--were stunning. There is a bus system, but the routes and plans are all in Ukrainian. The old town suggests past glory, with some interesting building styles. Having a car is useful, as there are lots of interesting things to see in the countryside.
The first thing to do in the city is to go to the tourist information center and get a map.

Reception was standing in the rain as the flapped about on the phone because her son, in another city had the computer.
No obvious reception and was put into a hut across a mosquito infested dark garden. Hut well not even glamping standard, no wash basin, no water, no toilet except across the insect infested garden in pitch black, to find a pretty poor toilet with no lock. When asked about the toilet the host just shrugged. When asked about lights to cross the grass to go to toilet another shrug and suggestion that we urinate in the grass beside the hut.
Hut had many gaps making insect screen useless and there were no curtains for privacy. No food and kitchen from a Soviet comedy with a small shower with a curtain rail which fell if you try to close curtains.
Refused to believe that I ordered a double standard room as she could not get her son on the phone. Said that we would have to speak with son the next day if he came to property.
The host left for her job at 7am leaving us abandoned, I had to return to Kyiv and would not leave my wife there starving. No local shops and miles from anywhere.
Booked 2 nights but left after the first and my wife did not feel safe taking a shower in a communal kitchen.
WiFi 😵💫🤣🤦♂️ does not exist and if you do get logged on it’s super SLOW and stopped device recognising any other modem.
This is the worst place I have stayed, to date, and should have a public health audit
Photo 1 view from outside with no curtains
Photo 2 the white dots in corner and where ceiling meets roof is sunlight through gaps
The rest of kitchen shower is self explanitory

Uzh is just a border town.
Uzh is just a border town. Better than many border towns but still not a whole lot going on. The Old Town, is quite pleasant. Most importantly, it is safe there. No homeless, no beggars, no thieves, unlike what you find in many western cities today. It's still just a town you go to, to get to somewhere else.

Despite its small size, it hosts numerous cultural and conscious events. Kolyba was a great restaurant for UA cuisine, and the waiter, Sasha, was a gem!
