People are friendly in their own way.
People are friendly in their own way. This is a beautiful island. The ferry is right downtown so if you want to travel to another island it is very easy. The food is fantastic. Bring cash for taxis. Enjoy the calm and beauty of St. Thomas. Very worth the trip.

People friendly! Room had a large room underage to use! TV only in this room. Got no channels but couldn't stay in no A/C only bedroom with very hard bed old dressers yo put your clothes in that were hard to open and clothes..The view was also from this room with no A/C. So we didn't even use it just bedroom and bathroom

The middle of nowhere, which is great in St.
The middle of nowhere, which is great in St. Thomas if you drive a tank. Not so kind on a rental. But you can disappear very well if you so choose, and in the process get some of the most spectacular views - ever.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance.
Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance. You really don't even hear the planes takeoff. The hotel is older so don't expect the grays and golds that are in right now. More grandma's house style. The staff is great. The pool is small but has a great view. The bar area also has a restaurant. The price is affordable and you could not even have to leave.

You can take a water taxi to Water Island from Crown Marina...
You can take a water taxi to Water Island from Crown Marina on ST. Thomas, not far from the airport. Reserve a golf cart from Rachel's before going if you want to see the whole island. If you just want a nice beach, there is a shuttle to Honeymoon Beach with a restaurant and bar and beautiful setting. Check out Limestone Beach and the coral reefs there . You can also go up to Fort Segurro - an installation built during WWII with tunnels to barracks- and a great view. Heidi's restaurant is another great spot. I think a day is sufficient to explore Water Island.

My recommendation would be for Booking.com; your communication with me was very, very poor. There was a resident of the compound who guided me in the right direction, and that how I got in touch with the owner of the place, but he was outstanding, but you guys need to do a whole lot better than what you did.

Locals were very friendly and helpful. Plethora of dining and shopping choices. Very cosmopolitan for being an island in the middle of nowhere. The airport did leave a lot to be desired as it was old and tired.

The view great. The hot tub was hot.
The view great. The hot tub was hot. The house is well used, could use a little freshening up, but it really was a great place to spend the night. Isolated from restaurants so come prepared to call a taxi or bring your own food up the mountain. So quiet and peaceful. Will rent again!

Would definitely return again. This was second trip to emerald beach. Walked the whole beach many times- pure relaxation! Preferred staying at resort with all the water sports offered them venturing into busy downtown

Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown).
Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown). Great vendors in market, green bay restaurant and 578 had hot meals with 4/5 taste for me. Safari bus ($2) good easy to get around if you want to see city and go to some local places, pick up a map in the tourist welcome center downtown. Better yet ask a local. Everyone I met was friendly and willing to answer questions/give directions. Take the safari bus to Red hook, catch the ferry ($9.15 with tax) and see St john island. State park there with beautiful beach, local raci needed to access it though.
