South AfricaThe accomodation was very close and convenient to where we needed to be. It looked small on the photos, but it was actually a bit bigger when we arrived there. We just needed a place to sleep in the evenings, because we were at an event and it was so nice to get home after a full day away and we could relax. The best bonus was the Kwikspar just up the road. They have numerous cheap options for food and it helped us so much to get things for the days.

Very comfortable house, clean fresh linen, comfortable bed, loved the tv in the main bedroom. I didn't like cameras inside the house. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The microwave wasn't working. Couldnt access back yard cause there was no key.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage in Gqeberha during a challenging time, as I was had to undergo from surgery at Life St George’s Hospital, which is located within a very comfortable distance from Lloyd Road Cottage. From the moment I arrived, Carol and her husband went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible.
The cottage itself is a gem! Spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The peaceful, well-maintained garden is a lovely retreat, and their adorable cat, Sneakers, adds a charming, homely touch.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the care and kindness shown by Carol and her husband. They treated me with such warmth and professionalism, making sure I had everything I needed. Carol even left me some delicious soup the night I was discharged from the hospital - a small gesture that meant the world to me in my recovery.
The property is located in a safe, quiet area and offers excellent amenities like free WiFi, private parking, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The comfort of a private entrance, a pool, and easy access to outdoor seating in the beautiful garden added to the relaxing experience.
I can’t recommend Lloyd Road Cottage enough for anyone needing a home away from home, whether for leisure, business or even a hospital visit like myself. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality during my stay.

Like many cities in RSA Port Elizabeth divers. A crumbling city centre. A great beachfront with security issues. Lovely suburbs and shopping Malls. A world class birding site (shore birds) in the Cape Recife Lighthouse prescient.

Gqeberha is generally an amazingly beautiful place to visit but each traveller has their own specific agenda/priority for their visit but for me it was about convenience and proximity to the venue I needed to attend. The Capitol Boardwalk ensured I enjoyed both and more. My car was parked in parking lot throughout my stay, as the venue I attended was literally a few steps of walking to. Also the service from check in to check out was surprisingly amazing. And the food served at the restaurant was great. I was blown away by the fact that there was a whole shopping mall I could go do shopping (from shops, to a medical doctor's rooms to pharmacies, any essentials needed, everything) literally just by stepping out the doors of the hotel/apartments. This was a first for me, which made it all so amazing. I truly loved and enjoyed the whole experience.

Walmer is conveniently located for access to the airport and...
Walmer is conveniently located for access to the airport and major roads for travellers.
It has a wide range of restaurants close to the property.
It has very good shopping facilities within easy reach.
If you don't have your own car, Uber is always available.
Although not on the sea front, it is only a few minutes drive to beaches, the harbour, golf courses, St George's Park for cricket etc.

Nothing I liked the place is old and filthy linen and curtains dirty rooms are leaking water when raining everything even TV is old showers rusty with awful sound when showering linen is not changed rooms are not cleaned daily even furniture is old

The Port Elizabeth beaches are very good.
The Port Elizabeth beaches are very good.
Did not enjoy driving, around PE, at night, Main Road did not have good
street lights.
Quite a few pot holes in the roads.
Walmer has some very good Shopping Malls, Walmer Park and William
Moffet on Main.
Italian Restuarant called Fernando's and had Take-aways from Raasoie, Curry place on Main Road.

Gqeberha is a friendly city with a fair amount of things to do. We enjoyed the fact that everything we needed to do was within a radius of about 15km which made getting around very easy and fortunately the weather was great considering it was middle of winter.
