Excellent location and amenities. Stelios the owner was professional and very hospitable and he has the BEST home made Raki!

Breakfast was exceptional. Place was very clean. Shower pressure fantastic. Apartment had all the amenities and was very quiet. I will definitely stay here again if ever back In Matala!

The host is super accommodating and nice. She was responsive and available to assist with whatever I needed. The location is excellent and you are only 5 min. from the town, beach and bus. It could not be better. I highly recommend this property and host.

New 4 Villas block with everything what you need (except washing machine, but this was not very actual for us). Very silent apartment (but villas near main road to Matala can be more noisy ;-) ). It was really good, because if you live in Matala, this town is quite noisy. There you get very quite environment for sleep with 15 minutes walk from Matala. Roud to Matala have a sidewalk, and walk is very easy. They have parking, but very small (2-3 cars). But you can very easy to park at street. There is not so much activities in Matala. If you want sandy beach, better to take 20 minutes from Matala Red Beach Trail. Red beach really looks a little bit like "wild beach", but there are 3 bar's. One of them have "best Mojito in the world", but owner Yannis is a little bit expressive person. But I like him. And please be noted - there is no WC. And do not trust Google maps, which shows wrong start point from Scala restaurant. You need follow signpost from Matala Tribe shop to up. If you want hike, there is very nice "Rouvas Wood and Gorge" to oak forest (do you believe, that we have oaks in Crete? ;-) ) Hike is mid level difficulty for ~4 hours.

Wonderful location for the weekend. We are so happy with our stay at this lovely place. We will definitely stay here when visiting Matala. We arrived earlier than expected and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready.

We LOVED our stay there. The apartment was very roomy. Air condition worked great, the pool was super, the hosts were very nice and checked in with us to arrange cleaning, while we were there (a total of 10 days). The location is a short walk from Matala, which means it is very quiet but all restaurants are within reach. The grass and trees on the property really helped to stay cool during this hot Crete summer.

Fabulous from beginning to end! Cleanliness, free parking, location to beach and friendly staff that is also pet friendly! The rich foliage different plants adds to the very charming atmosphere. We will book again if returning to the area … without hesitation!!

I liked it so much that I decided to extend my stay. The manager and staff were very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe. I didn’t rent a car, so being within walking distance of Matala (about 15 minutes) and the beautiful Komos Beach (about 45 minutes) was a huge plus.

The location is great. 2 Min to the city centre on foot and yet not directly on a busy street. And they have their own place to park your car, which is great if you have a rented car like we had.

Charming host family (3-generations), always offering us some small treat, like cake, cheese pie, mizithra. Private parking a plus. Great location, on side street but 2 minutes from restaurants, beach, etc.

Maria the host was very nice! Everything was clean and new. There was enough space and outside we could dry out wet clothes from the sea. The location is perfect.

Right in the heart of Malala. Very well appointed for a small space. Other reviewers didn’t like the subterranean bathroom but we found it perfect. Short stroll to restaurants & beach. We looked for Joni Mitchell but she wasn’t home. You have to park outside in the lot close to the village but you can drive in before 11am to load your bags. Anyway it’s a short walk from the parking lot.

Nice space, located right in the middle of the little town, close to everything! The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with water, a soft drink and bag of fresh figs. Great, quiet mini-split AC unit. Picking up keys at the café nearby was easy. Nice to have a little table outside in the courtyard, with lime trees and cats :-)
