Thank you for the welcoming and comfortable stay! The place had everything I needed and was looking for. The amenities were spot on and I especially love how quickly my clothes dried in the dryer room (also doubles as the shower). This place by far had my most favorite and most comfortable bed for rest and sleep in all of my Japan stays to date. I highly recommend this accomodation for anyone looking to spend a holiday in Arashiyama. You feel right at home when staying here. I enjoyed how close this location was to the Arashiyama train station, convenience stores, and picturesque prime locations in town. You can walk to so many different spots in Arashiyama very easily. One big plus is that it is VERY quiet in the surrounding areas that footsteps are louder than you think when you hear people outside walking on the street. Waking up from a nap and the morning from this spot gave some nice views of the mountain when there was no rain.

Where do I start? Rose was attentive, helpful, and prompt with her responses. She even helped us get checked in and heat running which saved me Google translate brain power. Having two toilets was clutch. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking breakfast and simple meals. It was spacious and clean. The location near Arashiyama bamboo forest let us go there after hours to avoid the crowds. My boys were over the crowds of central Kyoto so being out somewhere less crowded made our trip so much better. The location near the river was a perfect running path. Oh, and the floor heat was so cozy. Highly recommend this place for families and those wanting more space in a great location.

The location of Muji Arashiyama Villa couldn't have been more perfect. Situated in close proximity to scenic spots, I had the luxury of easily exploring the captivating attractions nearby. Whether it was breath taking natural wonders, historical landmarks, or vibrant local markets, everything was within a short distance. The convenience of being able to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings without spending excessive time on transportation was a major plus point. The amenities at Muji Arashiyama Villa were impressive. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The rooms were equipped with modern conveniences, including a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a well-stocked kitchen. The attention to details and the overall cleanliness of the rooms truly added to the overall comfort of our stay. Furthermore, the staff at Muji Arashiyama Villa deserves immense praise for their exceptional service. The staff members were attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist with any request or query. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or promptly addressing any concerns, their dedication to ensuring a memorable stay was evident.

The rooms were really spacious and clean, they had the right amount of comfort and utility. The staff were amazing and helping us through the stay and holding on to our baggage on the day we checked out. Arashiyama is further from the city but to be honest it's really a good deal compared to city prices, paying for the bus / train is cost effective if you want a place to rest and comfortable.

Amazing location. 1 min walk to the bus station and 8 mins walk to the train station which is just one stop before Arashiyama. Kyoto downtown was 15-20 min train ride. We absolutely loved our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The whole home was so warm and cozy. It was an excellent location, the host even came out to greet us, in the rain to help with our luggage. It was a delightful and charming place to stay in Kyoto. We really appreciated the free amenities as well.

The experience upon our arrival was very different from many Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The hosts personally greeted us, which immediately made us feel safe and welcomed, rather than just receiving a key code. We truly enjoyed meeting them in person — it made the stay feel more personal and memorable.
