Oh my goodness! The location of this property is amazing - overlooking the rugged coast yet in a quiet neighborhood. In fact, as we were walking right past this place, we said, "I wish we were staying here!" At that time, the driver from Vicentina Transfers carrying our luggage showed up and helped us open the lockbox and open our apartment. The place is AMAZING with a wonderful little balcony, a full kitchen, and even a delicious bottle of wine waiting for us. Of the places we stayed in our 20 days in Portugal, this is one of our favorites! The town is cute and everything is close at hand.

Very nice peaceful stay, nice rural setting well equipped kitchenette. Note to Historic Way walkers: make sure you call ahead if you think you’ll be early. I saw from earlier reviews that they live on the property but they couldn’t come let me in for an hour because they were elsewhere. Location about 10 minutes out of town so shop and eat before you walk here.

We had a wonderful stay here while hiking the Rota Vicentina (Fisherman’s Trail) — exactly the kind of place you hope to find at the end of a long day on the coast. Two separate bedrooms, an open-concept living area with a well-appointed kitchen, and the sound of the waves in the background made it especially relaxing. The location is ideal: in Praia de Odeceixe, just steps from the beach, right along the trail, and across the road from a couple of restaurant-cafés and snack bars (at least one was open by 8:00 for a full-service pre-departure breakfast). For additional options, Odeceixe village is a few kilometres away, with several restaurants and a couple of small grocery stores — and if you’re hiking north to south, you’ll naturally pass through the town before arriving here. Accessing and vacating the unit was very easy, and we especially appreciated the flexibility, as hiking made our arrival time hard to predict far in advance. The unit itself was spotless, and the hosts were responsive, warm, and easy to communicate with. A big thank you to them for their kindness and flexibility. A comfortable, seamless, and perfectly situated stop along the Rota Vicentina — we would happily stay again.

The host, Ilda, was so kind and friendly! We were able to check in early and she had left milk, orange juice, and some bread for us. The house itself is a bit outside town, but very quiet and nice. We stayed at the hosye as part of a coastal hike and highly recommend it.

The location was right on the rota vicentina - halfway between Almograve and zambujeira. It has what a house has - washer (great for washing hiking gear), kitchen, shower. But what makes this place really special is the host - Filipe is a wonderful and caring host who went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable!
