Absolutely fantastic place to stay in Takayama. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom and laundry facilities worked perfectly, the dining and living rooms were spacious. The location was great, within walking distance of temples and the market area. The best was the value: we got a spacious place for an incredible price.

We got the zoo themed room with four beds (not a bunk bed and 2 beds). The kids absolutely loved the decor. It was the largest room we've had in Japan so far with a sleeping area, lounge, kitchen, wardrobe and bathroom. We loved the washing machine and drying function in the bathroom which made it very easy to wash and dry all our clothes. There are no plates or cutlery in the room but the staff are happy to provide disposable ones upon request.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sengokuhara 533 in Hakone. Modern, clean and comfortable, located in a quiet street in Sengokuhara. The hosts were very kind and accomodating. Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby, and closest bus stop is about a 7 minute walk away which will take you all over Hakone. Wish I had stayed here longer, definitely the highlight of our trip. Luxury accomodation for an affordable price.
