Beach rentals in Cat Ba

Good location, the owner is very nice and is very comfortable!

Very friendly owners, the room was spacious (even with three separate beds for three people) and very clean.

Very impressed by the hostel!!! I booked for one night but ended up staying several nights. It is very clean and spacious. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. Feels like sleeping in clouds haha.. The bathroom is also very clean and comes with the basic toiletries. The breakfast is delicious and the host is amazing!!! She's very friendly and I felt like home the moment I stepped in the hostel. The pool table is one of the best ones I've played on in vietnam. I 100% recommend this hostel!

Miss Thanh was so welcoming and helped us book our bus, rent scooters, do laundry and made us wonderful breakfast for both nights. Our room was air conditioned and very pleasant. Place is a little bit out of town which we liked as it was less crowded and on the way out to the national park.

booked this place by mistake but it was a nice accident. My room was huge, beautiful and modern, by far the cleanest I had in Vietnam! You can eat on the floor. Very quiet also. I had a fridge also. It's not in the center so it's perfect if you wanna avoid the tourist area. Also, the breakfast included in the price is basic but delicious, which is not always the case. I booked a tour with the owner and that company was amazing.

Convenient location close to restaurants and coffee shops, but at the end of a side street so it was peaceful and quiet. The patio area was AMAZING and so beautiful with the lighting and plants. Our host was very responsive and took great care of us. At one point we couldn’t get our water heater to turn on and he had someone there to repair it within minutes. He also booked our boat tour with Green Trail Travel and secured bus tickets back to Hanoi. 10/10 experience!

Excellent communication, good advice and help with booking tours. Spotless clean room and bathroom with very efficient Aircon. Very tasty Vietnamese breakfasts, with explanation about the food/ingredients. Eco-minded host, caraffe of water instead of bottles. We booked the cooking class which is highly recommended! Motorcycle available for rent for excursions. Location a bit away from the noisy center, walking distance from cannon fort.

A little slice of heaven in Cat Ba. Opposite a lake and out of the town so very quiet. The family that run this place are so very kind. They will help with everything. Fantastic quality scooters and they can organise trips and transport.. Accommodation is very clean and the breakfasts are lovingly created and local Vietnamese traditional food. Don't hesitate to book this place, it's amazing!!!

Very nice people. They let us check in early and showed us the house from top to bottom. The apartment was a very large space, good for families. A washing machine on the third floor and two bathrooms made it very convenient. There is a darling tiny Daschund who lives next door who came and visited us every day. We had a scooter and a bicycle at our disposal, which made going to the old town very quick. The apartment is in a local area with lots of food options. There is a nice little bar called “Trang Draft Beer” that is run by a local woman right next door. Don’t be scared about how it looks. The proprietor speaks great English and offered up stories and local dishes for us tourists not familiar with real Vietnamese food. The beer is cold, food delicious, and the prices cheap. We ate here twice during our trip for under $8 USD for our family of three with three beers each. On the other hand, you can walk 1-2 km into the tourist part of town by the water and pay much higher prices.

This was our best accommodation in Vietnam 🇻🇳 so far – run by a very kind and hospitable family who helped us tremendously by organizing our travel onto and off the island and signing us up for a well-organized boat trip around the bay at an affordable price. They even rent scooters, although we didn't have the need for those in the end. The room itself is very basic but it has a decent size plus air conditioning. We also liked the location: close enough to the town center (~15 min walk) but in a quiet side street, not on the busy main road. All in all a very good value for money on Cat Ba, and we would gladly stay here again if we're ever back on the island 👌
