Beach Hotels in Montezuma

Amazing longe on a hill near Montezuma with stunning views. It is part of the jungle; you will meet white-hat monkeys, "pizote", and iguanas every day. The lodge is amazing - it offers a truly immersive experience of living in nature. There is a private hanging bridge acting as a shortcut when leaving for the village. Great breakfasts, shared kitchen, and eating space are included. We really enjoyed our stay. The waterfall trail starts at the lodge's parking lot, and it is free for the hotel's guests; you just need to show your key at the checkpoint.

This place is amazing! The location and price are the best for the area. It is clean and the staff are friendly. I would stay again.

The best part is the people, Ori, Corina, and Fabiola, who made us feel at home; they genuinely welcome you and are friendly and attentive. The rest of the personnel are also gentle and friendly. The hotel is relatively small, but the rooms are spacious and feature comfortable seating, as well as a wonderful terrace with an ocean view. We stayed at the Magnolia room. Everything is cosy. The breakfast is fabulous, with everything being homemade. The garden, facing the ocean, is impeccable, featuring a variety of flowers and perfectly manicured grass that feels like a home rug.

The grounds and pool area are incredible! The staff were very friendly and breakfast was next level.

First came twenty years ago, and had such fond memories. Returned to find comfy mattresses and pillows, wonderful included breakfast, and lovely staff. Didn’t disappoint! It’s perfectly central, has a lovely patio, and is a great value.

The property was clean, perfectly tucked away and provided a secluded junge experience. We saw howler monkies, ant eaters, iguanas and tropical birds from the front porch of our cabin. The property was beautifully landscaped with a pool and yoga terrace. It took us 5-minutes to walk to the beach (Playa Cedros). The property was safely gated with only a short drive to the town of Montezuma and waterfall hiking parking area. We would definatley recomond this property to anyone who enjoys the feeling of tranquility and also return again. Thank you to Fabio for being a great host to our new found gem. Pura Vida!

Exactly as expected. Perfect location, beautiful ocean views - you can hear the waves all night. I napped the hammock, enjoyed glorious sunrises. It was a perfect home base while I explored Montezuma. Polite and friendly staff.

This hotel is in a beautiful location, on a hill, right next to the jungle. You can wake up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys! The rooms are simple and functional, and balconies have a hammock and rocking chair, just what I needed for my early morning quiet routine.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Mariposa cabina at Montezuma Heights. The cabina was perfect for me as a solo traveler (it can sleep a couple in double bed) and with the refrigerator and stove and coffee maker it was a perfect setup for making light meals. The cabina is private and has two patio areas with chaise lounges, chairs and table where you can eat or have coffee and listen to nature. I was visited by iguanas, coati and a raccoon and treated to the sounds of howler monkeys and the ocean. I loved my stay. Santiago (caretaker) was very kind and helpful when I needed to install a SIM card in my phone. Peter and Roccio were lovely hosts who checked in regularly and promptly addressed anything that came up (and kindly even offered me a ride into town). One note on location is that it is walkable to town but a bit of adventure and quite steep on the return. You can get a taxi back if you don’t have your own transport. I hope to return in the future!!

The property is an absolute dream! if you’re looking for a quiet stay a bit off the beaten path, look no further! we loved that it was just seconds away from the water, and we were very surprised to see hermit crabs all about roaming the beach. how cool!

Very hospitable owner and staff, super friendly and accommodating. If breakfast is included, there's a couple options and are good sized! 1 minute walk to town but not in the mix so nicely secluded. Montezuma's small, like basically one block with a street in and a street out so most places are on the main road like this one therefore easily accessible but still nice and natural. Tons of white faced monkeys and family of coati right outside. *Quick tip, like anywhere in the warm jungle type areas of Latin America, a mosquito net is your best friend*

By far the best hotel I booked in Costa Rica. Even extended my stay for a while. Spacious room that even has a kitchen attached, a balcony surrounded by greenery, what more is there to wish for? Very nice host, who also run the restaurant across the street, which is probably also one of your best options in Montezuma.

This is a wonderful place to stay, fantastic views, peaceful surroundings, our hosts fabulous and the food exceptional!

The view and beach were spectacular. The staff was extremely friendly and we were treated royally. I really appreciate the owner, Hilda, interacting with her guest as well as us. It was my wife's birthday and they went out of their way to treat my wife to a wonderful dessert after our dinner. The pool was awesome and inviting. All and all a great place and magical experience.

Quiet, clean property with excellent food and pool. It was a great value and just what we were looking for. The private cabin with kitchen was lovely and air conditioned. There were enough things to do nearby but not so much that it was crowded or overwhelming. The scarlet macaws are magnificent and nest on the property.

Staying at surf camp was such a lovely experience! I appreciated the gorgeous views waking up in the open air Rancho, the gym and pool area were so well kept, and the people and vibes were immaculate! I was hoping to find a quiet spot in the heart of the South West peninsula and surf camp was it!

I stay here at least twice a year for both work and leisure, so for me it’s a no-brainer. Considering the price, the location, and the amenities, it’s a great value. The property is in a quiet area, with plenty of parking and a really nice pool area. I always say I should use the pool more—but at least it’s there! The traditional Tico breakfast is outstanding—really, really good. The rooms are more like small apartments: spacious, comfortable, and with strong, cold A/C. The staff is super friendly, and the overall vibe feels like having everything Santa Teresa offers, but without the crowds.
