This is absolutely amazing place to stay in! Friendly staff, close to restaurants/supermarket/bakery, parking spaces, pool, delicious buffet breakfast and not to forget the happiest happy hour with tasty margaritas! Dorm was clean, spacious, comfy beds, working A/C. Shower is both outside and inside, including hot water! Books to read, hammocks, co-working space, this place has absolutely everything you need and much more!

Staff is super friendly, and they value us as guests, and it shows. They are always there to assist! Our key broke late in the night and they helped us in quick and professional manner, the owner made sure we get our full deposit back. Place is really close to the beach and there are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, but the food here is awesome with great chefs. There is always something going on at the bar and everyone is happy to hang out. Cocktails are really good with reasonable price. I would gladly visit again!

The atmosphere is amazing, having the jungle all around you. The views, the animals, and place itself how it interacts with the soroundings, with the hamaks and eating area.

The accommodation is fantastic, a great clean pool, lovely rooms with very nice personal touchs and a fantastic well equipped open kitchen. The owner is really nice and she has made the accommodation a real personal experience. We have been traveling through CM for nearly 4 months my wife and I and this would be one of the best places and excellent value for money accommodation that we have stayed at.

This was a great vibe! The outdoor/common space was great! It was quiet for sleeping the ac worked well. Our morning coffee was the best while hearing the monkeys and birds! The jungle experience outside is super cool too. Loved the host! Friendly and nice. Short drive to great beaches.

Beds are done everyday, place is extremely clean and looked after. Very conviniently located and peaceful. Each dorm has a backdoor patio to chill. There is a beautiful backyard. The kitchen is very well equipped

Amazing location set on the hillside over the Ocean. Rooms are clean, well equipped with A/Cs . There are nice communal areas and a super dip pool to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. We had no car, but were put in touch with a super driver who ferried us around at very reasonable rates. We explored local waterfalls and had an amazing time whale watching. Uvita has a lovely vibe. There is a super Italian restaurant next door where we ate twice.

Super easy to find, very clean, ant not that pricey for the location, A/C worked perfectly, easy parking, and very trustworthy management. I forgot her name but the lady from Nicaragua was very helpful.

This is a classic in the world of hostels! I have been an intermittent backpacker traveller for about 15 years, in 25 countries and I value this hostel as everything a hostel could and should be. Local information and tourist assistance available when requested. The Beach National Park is a very short walk away. Two easy walk restaurants, convenience store, ice cream shops are in the neighborhood. I've seen wonderful birds and monkeys and heard Howler monkeys. The beach is ever changing and fascinating. Shade areas are under the trees beyond the high tide line.

The place is new, well-maintained, and in a great location and the host was incredibly helpful. We loved watching the birds from the pool, the freshly prepared breakfast every morning, and that there are only 4 rooms. We were able to park right outside the compound on the quiet side alley and it was walking distance to the national park and restaurants.

Breakfast was delicious. The host informed us about the area. The surrounding gave us a jungle feeling. The pool was a great asset.

More than exceptional. This whole organization was one of beauty in surrounding, comfort, accessibility and contact, with all staff and owners present attentive respectful and considerate. Best holiday ever. Thank you.

Perfect place for enjoy beaches of Uvita! Very close to the entrance to the main beach, where you can walk kilometers on the see cost. Very nice personal, nothing is problem for them!

I loved SONIA and her beautiful pup Domingo! She was so hospitable and generous with her time and energy. She even made us Banana Bread a couple times and we enjoyed it with out coffee! It was super beautiful experience. The pool was perfect on the hottest hour of the day and I got to relax in the beautiful ambiance. I would absolutely book again! We were walking distance to a delightful restaurant she recommended. I enjoyed watching the hummingbords on the roof deck!!

Best place to stay in Uvita area for the price. Stayed a week and had a wonderful time. It’s very chill and the staff is kind and helpful.

There are so many locally owned places to stay in Costa Rica making it a game of chance to find a good one, Tecal is a good one. When we arrived we found Tecal to be a popular destination as the parking lot was full. People used it for a vacation stay as well as for business. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff helpful and friendly. It was a short 300 meter walk to the beach. The beach is a national park so there is an admission fee, for Costa Ricans it is only 1200 colones. The breakfast was included and was very good. Service in the restaurant was excellent. There is a small super across the street, another restaurant, and a grocery store (MaxiPali) within walking distance.

We loved Everything! Wonderful stay!

This was my first trip to Costa Rica. Our first airbnb did not work out but finding and booking at Gaia Ecolodge saved the trip! This personal villa had air conditioning, a great shower, king size be and was very clean. The pool was nice. The onsite bar and restaurant is amazingly delicious- having breakfast included was an added bonus. Also the best pina colada I've ever had! Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautifully located, quiet, clean, really cool angel theme, and a lovely swimming pool.

Quiet and secluded location high in the hills, with incredible views down to the sea and famous “whale tail”. The layout of the hotel ensures privacy between the rooms with a private leading to each room. The infinity pool is gorgeous.
