Beach Hotels in Jan Thiel

This is our second stay in Curaçao and our first at this hotel. We loved the resort as it is a 5-minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and nightlife, but at the same time, it is very quiet. It takes 25 minutes by car to get to Willemstad. Twice a week, the restaurant on site had a BBQ night. While we did not attend, it looked lovely. We rented a two-bedroom bungalow, which was fully equipped with a stove, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and dishwasher (which we did not use). Our favorite part of the bungalow was the deck with a hammock.

This lovely apartment is in a quiet residential area of Jan Thiel, within easy walking distance to two beaches (Papagayo & Curacasbaii), many restaurants, and a grocery store. There is gated parking, but it is not necessary to have a car if you don’t mind walking. Area felt very safe, even after dark and there were often others out walking. Partial kitchen made fixing simple meals easy!

Our stay at Wara Wara Mini Resort was fantastic. We rented the Hibiscus apartment, which was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It had two bedrooms and one bathroom, and was located in a lovely neighborhood, just a 10-minute walk from the grocery store and Jan Thiel Beach. We enjoyed the pool as well. The hosts, Diederik and Laura, were very friendly and helpful, and communication was quick and easy. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

The way it's situated, the tranquility of the area and on the resort itself. Apartment was very spacious too.

Reading all the reviews about Curaçao is funny, no disrespect, but if you're going to the Caribbean, expect heat, mosquitoes, sun, and import prices. We had a Goudhaen rental car, perfect, and the airport transfer was also fantastic! And now for the main point: the location. The penthouse is absolutely fantastic, hygienically clean, with multiple swimming pools, spacious, and fully equipped! Within walking distance of a supermarket, a fantastic beach, a historic fort, and wild flamingos. I even managed a short, sporty run to the Sea Aquarium and back. It was a great route, so absolutely everything was close by. Finally, the host, hostess and little girl hostess. Luckily, we didn't need them, but they were available, and it was always a pleasant experience! Our only criticism was answered quickly and honestly. 10/10 👌

The space was thoughtfully set up with the items that I would normally need at home. It was very comfortable for the 4 days that I stayed.

The villa's location is very convenient: walking distance ~3 min to the supermarket and 7 min walk to the beaches.

The property was well maintained. It was very clean and comfortable. The views from the covered porch were lovely and relaxing.

This is a beautiful apartment in a lovely neighborhood. We could walk to the beach and restaurants, and grocery store, as it is a relatively short distance. Very well maintained, responsive to requests. The ride to and from the airport was a huge relief. Make sure you arrange that and you will be glad you did.

We were treated warmly from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The manager, Kimberly treated us as if we were family. Check in was easy and Isle was a pleasure. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Beautifully landscaped and designed eco-resort with chic rustic style; it seemed to have more authenticity/character/style than many other resorts we saw in the area. The main reception/restaurant area and the pools are gorgeous! It’s about a six minute walk downhill to the Jan Thiel Beach area, which is very nice and has a lively party scene on weekends, but keep in mind that Jan Thiel is a highly developed beach that can be a bit loud/crowded at times, so depending on your interests that could be a positive or a negative (it’s not a postcard-perfect natural beach setting like you see on other parts of the island). We really appreciated the hotel’s emphasis on sustainability, and we thought the food at the restaurant was fabulous. It also seemed like a great choice for families, with a kids menu and one of the pools designated as a family pool. Overall, a very comfortable stay and a great choice if you are looking for a unique, stylish, and eco-conscious hotel on the east side of the island.

Spacious and airy with a view of the ocean, close to a private beach. Restaurants within walking distance, as well as a small supermarket.
