This is a great location overlooking a beautiful beach, and the host family is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here.

- first time in sri lanka that accommodation looks better in real life than in pictures. Spacious and clean. - Hosts were amazing I can't find good words to describe them. They really really went out of their way to make our stay better, each morning different breakfast, which we couldn't eat, so we would save it for later in the fridge (by the 3 day fridge was full).. Help with which beaches to visit (which are best for our 2y daughter). Restaurant recommandation, Tuk tuk rates so we don't get scammed Help with transport to mirissa - it is close to 2 beaches - lovely garden with lots of fruits. - ac and hot water is always available.

Amazing location with great beach access and surf!

We were one of the first guests and really enjoyed our stay. The owner is very caring, always checking in to make sure everything was okay. The place is comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. I used the internet to work for a few days, and also to watch movies, and it worked very well. The location is really nice. there’s a beautiful beach right next to the place, and others you can reach on foot in about 5 minutes. My wife is pregnant, so we ended up cooking every day. The kitchen is well equipped and made it easier. We definitely recommend it.

This place like five stars hotel! Everything was perfect. Otel manager lady helped us for many things (laundry, arrange motorbike etc) their breakfast and other menu were a lots of options 🫶 best place to staying in Sri Lanka. Their surf coach was also super nice. We surfed at hotel beach and He took us different beaches for surfing. you can find fun and relaxing at the same place.

We spent 4 nights with my partner here. We absolutely loved it! The host was sweet and helpful with all our needs. The room is specious and comfortable with all the necessities: good AC, fridge, closet for clothes, kettle, etc. Our room was upstairs and the view was also beautiful. We were helped with tuktuk and also scooter rent. The beach is just in front of the accommodation but not too far is also a more beautiful beach which is called Silent beach. Walking distance there was an amazing restaurant Aga surf view with delicious and high quality food. A cheaper option was just cross the road in front of the accommodation a little local restaurant. I am picky with food but I can tell there the food was also super delicious. I can totally recommend this place and if ever I want to come back to Tangalle area I will choose again the same place.

Everything. This place is enchanting and exceeded our already high expectations multiple times over. We already changed our plans for the second half of our Sri Lankan trip to come back here - nowhere else can you find the tranquility, comfort, peace and easy access to an unspoilt beach. Staff are so friendly and willing and the owners are on hand at all times to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The place was amazing — super chill and relaxing. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the vibe is perfect for unwinding. The beach nearby is incredible, great for surfing and exploring all the little hidden spots around. The host was absolutely wonderful — really welcoming and helpful with everything.

This villa was perfect for us. We were a group of 8 and had the entire villa to ourselves. The villa is large, clean and comfortable and Dulash was available to help with any questions. The garden is surrounded by trees and it was a joy to sit on the balcony in the morning, watching the sunrise listening to the birds and watching the monkeys We loved the location ~ it is a short walk to a large quiet beach with a bar/restaurant, and to a popular surfing beach with Secret beach between the 2. There is a good simple restaurant {Aroma seafood} on the way to the beach with a small shop next door where you buy beer. Aga Surf restaurant does really good coffee.Tuk tuks nearby if you want to venture further afield. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to come back .

Fantastic location, 2 minutes to beach. Wonderful friendly host . Amazing breakfast variety, different every day. Comfortable and clean. Good choice of places to eat nearby and fantastic seafood. Safe beach to swim and surf.

Zodiak is one of those rare places where you feel genuinely welcomed from the very first moment. We stayed for three nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and the whole experience felt warm, personal, and truly special. The three ladies who run the hotel are remarkable. They embody real hospitality – they are attentive without ever being intrusive, and you can feel how much they genuinely care about their guests. Our room was spotless, bright, airy, and extremely comfortable. Every little detail had been thought of: a safe, beach towels, a small fridge with welcome drinks and snacks, both AC and a fan, perfectly ironed silky bed sheets, and a large, very comfy bed. Nothing felt random or improvised – everything was arranged with care and intention. The location is ideal, just a short walk from beautiful Silent Beach and close to a good selection of restaurants and beach bars, yet it still feels peaceful and relaxed. The absolute highlight of our stay, however, was the breakfast. Each morning we were served a generous, three-course, homemade breakfast that was both delicious and beautifully presented. It truly felt like starting the day eating like royalty. ♡ Many thanks to the wonderful team at Zodiak for making our anniversary so memorable. ♡ We sincerely hope to return one day.

Location feels secluded enough in its own bubble yet only 15-20 mins to busy spots like Hiritekya and Tangalle. Hotel has very few rooms, so is a real intimate and focused experience interacting with the staff. Yalindee did an excellent job helping us plan our trip from before our arrival up until our departure. She really went into all details including simple details such making sure our driver had towels ready in the car before we went to the beach or packed breakfast before leaving very early morning to the safari day trip. The hotel pool is big and very nice with stunning ocean views. Silent beach is close by and accessible from the hotel. Uga prava really ticked all the boxes and left nothing.

AMAZING property, lovely lovely staff who go the extra mile, beautful views, really interesting architecture and really tasty food - exceptional, cannot fault it one bit!

I absolutely loved my stay at Monara. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. The location is perfect as it close to Tangalle and just a quick tuk-tuk ride to Hiriketiya Beach. My room was gorgeous, so comfortable and open, and I loved having a balcony to sit out on in the mornings. The food was a highlight! The chef in the property is so talented and prepared authentic Sri Lankan recipes along with western dishes. I had the best egg hoppers for breakfast and the curry night was unforgettable. There are so many calm spots to do yoga or just relax by the pool, and the beach nearby is usually empty which is a treat. The team made everything so easy. Upul was amazing, the staff were so kind. It truly was a special and relaxing experience staying at Monara.

What a beautiful, luxury villa right near the beach! We had an amazing stay here. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a modern design. The pool was delightful and there are enough loungers for everyone. The Sri Lankan breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All of the stay were super attentive and because this is such a small hotel you receive personal service and feel very well cared for. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay. The house is beautiful. Big rooms with comfy beds and AC, gorgeous pool and patio area, and beautiful outdoor space. We saw peacocks, monkeys, mongooses (mongeese?), squirrels, and lots of colorful birds, all right in the yard! The location is also fantastic. Really serene, quiet area, you feel like you're deep in the jungle, but you're also five minutes walk from two stunning beaches and a short tuk tuk or motorbike ride into Tangalle. Maybe the best part of all was the attention of the house staff and owner. Yasith and Soma are there every day to prepare breakfast and help you with anything you might need, including arranging tuk tuk rides, finding groceries, etc. They are both really kind, lovely people who were a huge help to us. The owner, Henry, is also a really standup guy. The AC in one bedroom broke our first night there (which was just a freak occurrence), and Henry refunded that night of our stay without question. He was also available by whatsapp throughout to recommend restaurants, etc.

Pretty much everything but above all, the lovely staff and the cuisine. We enjoyed the suite on the top floor.

It is close to a very quiet beach Hiru beach so if you want some solitude this is the place

We loved our stay at Sandhara home stay. We had a beautiful apartment with nice kitchen surrounded by wildlife and a 2 minute walk to an incredible beach. Sampath the host is such a kind soul. He did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible and will help with any local information for activities in area. We would definitely come Back if we are in tangalle again.

In my opinion, this is the best place you can stay in Tangalle. It is located a little bit outside the center so calmer but still close enough so that within 5 minutes, you are in town if you wish to. Two of the most beautiful beaches of the area (Silent Beach and Goyambokka Beach) are within walking distance. The place itself is absolutely great. It's a beautiful house with the hosts living on ground floor and the rooms/apartments on 2nd and 3rd floor. They are very spacious and equipped with everything you need, both for a short vacation or for a longer term stay. The beds are comfortable and the mattresses have standard US/European length, so your feet won't stick out. The AC works properly and in addition there is a fan. The WiFi is perfectly stable and fast enough even for video calls. The bathroom is clean and designed in such a way so that you can take a shower without the entire floor being wet for hours. The host and his family are very friendly and welcoming. His English is very good which makes communication easy, and he replies very quickly. They offer food at their place and rent out scooters. Given the price all of this is offered to us as guests, this place definitely deserves a 10 star review. I have already recommended coming here to friends and am certain you will be happy staying here either.
