We received a warm welcome with fresh watermelon juice at the arrival, the place looks amazing and authentic, the owner Abdul is very friendly and hospitable. We got probably the best room on the top floor with a balcony with breathtaking view, especially good for watching sunset!

We had wonderful stay at Heritage Sunset Retreat villa. Although our arrival was in the middle of the night, our host was waiting for us. We had also enjoyed fantastic breakfast each morning. The villa was nice and we like the pool, the sunset, the sea view... Thank you for hospitality!

Cute, cozy and the staff are the best!

We enjoyed everything about the guesthouse: relaxed atmosphere, wonderful homemade food, access to the beach, safety, cleanliness, hospitality, also it is a very cozy and nice looking home. Margaret knows a lot about the island and local culture, and cares about supporting the community. We liked that the guesthouse is far from the touristic areas, though you can have any excursion from there upon your interests. Zanzibari curries were delicious, lobster and seafood barbecue was awesome. We went to sunset sailing once and took a trip for swimming with dolphins, we were lucky to see a big group of them! If we come back to Zanzibar on holidays, we don’t need to look for another place to stay, for sure. Thank you Mags 🩷

The setup of the lodge was perfect for our family of 11. Very spac ious and clean. Everything still very new. The showers pressure was great especially since water can be a problem in some areas of Zanzibar. AC and fans worked well. Staff very welcoming and a great welcome from warm welcome from Adam.

Pamoja is amazing. The stuff is wonderful, well trained, and respectful - I felt safe as a woman travelling alone. I love the furnishings in the room - The bathroom is gorgeous, and the large mirror, my goodness!!! I love how the pool lights up at night, i really enjoyed swinning in the evenings.The food was delicious. The location? right on the beautiful beach. Do request a sunset cruis, the view is beautiful. It truely felt like an island vacation. It doesn't get any better, i was right in the middle of Stone Town, with a view of the Harbar. I'm very happy... Well done!

An amazing stay at Milele Villas. We got welcomed by Hannes the manager and our personal staff with a welcome drink. Both very friendly and welcoming gentleman. Hannes referred to have a candle light dinner out at the seaside, which we gladly agreed to. It was a sweet, romantic experience. Tell your wish and it gets fulfilled, and sometimes you don't even have to tell. Very attentive staff. All food is cooked or baked freshly and served at the time wished for. Even breakfast marmalade was homemade. Everywhere it's spotless clean. It is safe and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. A real little paradise and gem on Zanzibar. Manager and staff were exceptional! Asante sana sana!

Out of all the places that I stayed in Zanzibar, this was by far my favourite. The property is beautiful and is right on the beachfront. It’s close to many water activities on the beach as well as shops on the sea side and on the street side. When I did not have WhatsApp access and needed to make calls, the front desk staff kindly helped me make phone calls whenever I needed to arrange transport. I came here as a female solo traveller, and I had a great time and felt so welcome and safe. I even made friends with other female guests who were also travelling solo. The operations manager, Al Pacino even sent a cake to my room on my birthday, and when I requested to stay a little bit longer after my plans unexpectedly changed, Al Pacino kindly sorted out my arrangement at a better rate. The room was very clean with good AC, and the shower had good pressure and the hot water never ran out. The breakfast buffet was delicious and I stuffed myself every morning, even though I don’t even like eating breakfast usually. I would highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it. I would definitely come back here on my next stay in Kendwa.

Our stay had a few bumps at first, but what really stood out was how they were handled with politeness. Manager was genuinely interested in making sure we had a good trip in Zanzibar. We were always greeted with warm smiles by everyone on site and the atmosphere was generally very relaxed. We even ended up booking one of the excursions through the tour guy on site because it was a better rate/package than we were looking at elsewhere, which is rarely the case.

This property has the best view of the beach on a little hill. It’s really clean, simply designed and has a great restaurant on the top floor. We ended up having every meal there. The owner is also friendly and the staff look after you. It was a good chill place in a great location around shops, hair salons, food and 5 minutes from the best beach in the area.

The room was spacious, the neighborhood quiet and the hosts welcoming. Breakfast (a buffet) had variety. The terrace upstairs is quite large and from there I could listen to birds sing and enjoy a bird eye view of Kendwa's captivating ocean. Kendwa's beautiful beach was about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. I would definitely return for a longer stay.

The resort is a 10 out of 10. Luxury at its best! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything was meticulous and the attention to detail was impressive. Chef Keith went above and beyond and took us on the most amazing culinary experience. He has incredible talent and made our stay even better than we could ever imagine. Hands down best resort in Zanzibar!

I had a great stay at Bamboo Garden. It’s a very cosy place with a nice laidback vibe. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and they serve a big breakfast in the morning (every day something else). The owner Sule is super friendly and will help you with whatever you need. They also have a nice rooftop from which you can watch the sunset.
