Everything at Marafiki Bungalows was exceptional. We ate all our meals there and everything was made from scratch - a variety of freshly baked pastries in the morning, fresh bread in the evening, home-made jams, fresh seafood, etc.. It was so delicious. There were sufficient sun-loungers and day beds for all the guests.

The resort is clean, excellent service, very polite and prentice staff. Fabulous rooms and amazing views. Totally recommend

I loved the beach and the surroundings lots of trees so atleast that brought a lot of fresh air and wasn’t very humid. Loved the good food only wish they had more traditional Swahili food like ugali otherwise it was good.

Wonderful place with the most beautiful, safe beach, perfect water and comfy sun beds, great beach bar/restaurant open until late. Delicious food. The kindest, most helpful hotel staff. Close to a few shops, pharmacy and ATMs. Best hotel out of 4 I’ve stayed at in Zanzibar, great value for money.

Our family enjoyed every minute spent at White Dream. From the moment we arrived the place felt like home. The staff was what made most of the stay so pleasant as they make you feel like a part of the family. Another bonus is the amazing restaurant. It was so good that we didn’t even bother leaving for dinner. So much good food and so little time :) The rooms and facilities were great! Clean and well maintained.

Best thing about hotel is that you can ask whatever you want and 99% of your wishes come true. As European I like some things made differently as they are in Africa but if you ask the hotel staff makes it! As example I can say they make awsome tuna stakes if you ask them! And they also add rum to your coconut if you ask. So the main tip is - ASK! Moreover, as experienced travelwr I have been reading reviews about the hotel and two things were very disturbing (a) that the selection of food os not very rich; and (b) that the tides make the sea go away for a far far way. To tackle that I shall say that (a) food is good and changes everyday, so even on 11 night stay you will have a varios optios to choose from (especialy if you are into sea food); (b) tides are constant but there was no day with out sea at your foot steps to the pool, meaning that some times you have to wait half a day before sea comes back but it eventualy does.

Enjoyed the space of the junior suite and the beach and ocean were the best.

The beach on which the hotel is located is just wonderful! I think it could be the best resort on the island, we loved it!

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was so restful and beautiful. The staff were really attentive and so friendly. The lady who made up our room every day did a particularly great job with decorating our room with flowers every single day. I would not hesitate to come back

We all felt very welcome, as if we were being cared by our own family. :) The lady even walked with us to the town after dark to make sure we are safe.

My girlfriends and I had an absolutely lovely stay at Baridi Villa. The staff was super kind, friendly and professional . They were extremely helpful in all matters and questions we had about the area and amenities and the service was highly accommodating. For e.g. they connected us to a hair stylist, money exchange service, food delivery, taxi pick up etc. , all delivered straight to the accommodation. We felt super safe, embraced and respected as women of colour, which is not always the case while travelling, so this was an important aspect to us. We really enjoyed being in a safe space of a mostly women run accommodation. We were positively surprised at the easy access to the beach. Through the back door of the accommodation, there is an alley that brings you directly to the beach within 2 walking minutes. The area was truly the best of both worlds: The beach side abit touristy, but not too much, with a range of restaurant options. As well as slow paced living in the local village on the other side, where you can find fresh fruit, lovely homey food at local prices and some local clothing shops, hair salon etc. We enjoyed the pool and whirlpool area and relaxing days on the outdoor bed swings. We would definitely book here again and warmly recommend this stay. Be sure to be respectful of the locals and definitely leave a big tip for the staff, as it seems that many people stay far away from their families to work on the island.

Calmest place on the island, wish we had stayed longer! Clean room and nice common areas. Breakfast is served on the beach, good amount of food. We had dinner there as well, super tasty and cheap. The staff is very kind and caring, I would definitely recommend it!

My husband and I spent a week there.The location on beach and grounds are kept beautiful.The STAFF ohhh we absolutely loved them and they where so kind and helpful.I would love to make this trip again.The rooms are amazing right on beach.We had the ground level and it was absolutely perfect location to the pool and beach.

The hotel is located next to the sea with a sand beach. It has two facilities located ~100m from each another and the guests are free to use both. Just for you to know, you will be bothered with lots of locals trying to sell stuff as in the most of the beaches in Zanzibar. But let me say what I liked at the hotel: - Very friendly staff. We were checked-in a bit earlier and they offered us a free room upgrade and overall the stuff was very attentive to any needs we might possibly have. They have a local board game called Bao. One of the staff member showed us how to play and it was very nice and interesting. - Restaurants. Delicious meals and drinks - Comfy Rooms. - Great and clean pool (which you need when the sea is in low tide)

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is very close to the beach, the choice of breakfasts are excellent , and always fresh fruits, fresh juices and sweets. There is a TV with the ability to watch Netflix, which is very pleasing. Cleaning every day. 100 % recommend. It was a place to relax, felt safe, calm, Very clean. Basically no mosquitos. Very nice food including breakfast. Very nice staff, especially Roberta. Not a lot of rooms, so cozy, everyone has their own little terrase. Pool is also great and clean. The owner has two funny dogs that keep you smile :D
