Our room was neat and clean, breakfast was okay, not too far to the ski lift, other restaurants and stores nearby, and our overall stay was great.

This property truly exceeded our expectations. We arrived after hours and the owner personally walked us through the self check-in process, which was seamless and very reassuring. As a pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to an apartment unit conveniently located on the first floor near the breakfast/common area and just steps from the sauna — a very thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Great Breakfast! The ski facilities were excellent. The ski room was easily accessed from the side of the property with no stairs, fully heated, and equipped with boot warmers, making daily ski logistics effortless. We were also surprised to receive daily service to straighten the room and make the beds, which we did not expect at a B&B-style property. Parking was plentiful and well organized, with assigned spaces for each unit. The property also offers an EV charger, which is a great amenity, though access would need to be coordinated with the owner depending on parking availability. The location is ideal — an easy 4-minute walk to the main train station, about 7 minutes to the town square and restaurants, and roughly the same distance to the ski bus. Schruns itself is a charming and walkable town; one non-ski day is enough to explore it comfortably. Skiing at Silvretta Montafon Silvretta Montafon is a top-tier Austrian ski destination, offering approximately 140 km of pistes and 35 modern lifts. It is known for its sporty character, with high-altitude, snow-sure terrain reaching over 2,400 meters. The resort is also well regarded for freeriding, with multiple designated freeride zones and a large snowpark area. During our visit, the snowpark was not fully open and jump features were not yet built. However, the quality of the grooming, the variety of terrain across multiple peaks, and the excellent signage and lift connections made for a fantastic skiing experience.

We had a large room with plenty of space. They had a warm boot room and place to store skis. We enjoyed the nice breakfast. Our kids enjoyed looking at the old decor such as the antique typewriter. We would have liked to enjoy the sauna and salt grotto but we didn’t get a chance.

Everything was amazing! The hosts are super friendly and helpful, good and fresh breakfast, comfortable beds, if you go for skiing the location is excellent really close to the ski lift (approximately 10 minutes with the ski bus). We will definitely come back!!

Everything! Best stay in Austria we’ve ever had. A beautiful, very welcoming spot at almost 1400 meters witha a picturesque view. Great kitchen too!

The place is managed by the family who own the place. Irene, her husband and her son Chris are the most welcoming and warm hosts. We had an issue with our car the second day of our stay because of the cold and they took care of jumping starting the car and give us some coffee and told stories about how the place was built while we waited. Every little ask we had, they made sure we got (extra towels, pillows, kitchen stuff, etc). The place is very cosy, and although Irene and her husband don’t speak much English with some effort and some chat gpt translation we managed to communicate perfectly and had the most pleasant stay. We’ll return for sure! Pd: some comments talk about the fact that it’s hard to get in and out of the driveway. As long as there’s not too much snow, it really isn’t a big deal at all.

The host was simply amazing. Extreme kindness, available at any time. Rooms are nice and clean. Location is fantastic.

It's a beautiful house. All the furniture is absolutely new in a beautiful country style. Huge terrace for warm evenings. Very kind and friendly host.

This place was amazing! Very helpful friendly staff. They were full of greetings and smiles. We have been traveling (for 3 weeks) for my spouses work and had a few days between jobs to travel. This room was so quiet we didn’t hear a peep while in our room. The breakfast has been the absolute best in 3 weeks! It was so refreshing to have the smiles and kindness from everyone. We left with 2 jars of jam and seasonings. Definitely give it a try. Not modern rooms but well worth the stay.

The hostess was lovely. The place was beautiful . The hostess drove to pick us up at the bus. The bus driver went way out of his way and wouldn't let us pay the fare.

The Gasthaus was lovely inside and very cozy and beautifully decorated. The rooms were small but charming. There was a rec center where we were able to play cards at night.
