We had a wonderful stay at La Demeure des Elfes Bed and Breakfast. The location in Albinen is perfect — charming, quiet, and surrounded by stunning scenery. It’s conveniently close to the ski slopes and thermal baths in Leukerbad, with hiking and snowshoe routes starting right from the village. The free hourly bus to and from Leukerbad made getting around incredibly easy. The Elfes itself is exceptionally cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated how dog-friendly the property is — our little dog Ginger was warmly welcomed and well accommodated. Our hosts, Viviane & Stéphane, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided great recommendations for hiking and made us feel completely at home. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, featuring delicious local meats and cheeses along with warm, freshly baked bread straight from the oven. We also requested dinner one evening and were blown away by the quality and value of the three-course meal — beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The barrel sauna was another standout feature. It was the perfect way to relax after a morning hiking in the snow. Overall, we highly recommend staying here and are already planning a return trip in the summer. A truly memorable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
