Breakfast was excellent. Many choices and well stocked. Hotel is in walking distance to many museums, restaurants and attractions.

Casa 69 San José is an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort and great service. We appreciated how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff are—they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and assist with any needs or questions. The breakfast is good and provides a pleasant start to the day, with fresh and satisfying options. The location is also excellent, making it easy to explore San José and reach nearby attractions.

Great location, very large hostel and the staff super friendly

One of my best stays in San José. The area has parks, restaurants for every budget, and some nice bars nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and always smiling - they really made the experience memorable.

I'VE STAYED THERE MANY TIMES. IT'S A LITTLE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES, BUT GETTING BETTER EVERY TIME I GO THERE. LUCA IS A GREAT HOST. THE LOCATION (ESCALANTE) IS GREAT, WITH NICE RESTAURANTS, BARS, AND A NICE, BIG SHOPPING MALL A 20 MINUTE WALK AWAY.

Absolutely everything about this place was amazing! The breakfasts is included and it's fantastic, the staff is very kind and helpful, the entire house is very clean and greatly decorated, the rooms are beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. They have security guards in the street so your vehicle will be safe parked in front of the house. It's very close to amazing restaurants and the area overall is safe to walk around. Highly recommend.

It was such a great homey vibe in the midst of the city. I felt so calm entering this space coming from the hustle and bustle of San Jose, and I'm so glad I booked at Lola's. It is super clean and comfortable and is now my stay when passing through San Jose. Lola herself was extremely kind, and was very patient with me when I asked to practice my Spanish and she was sweet enough to help me with that throughout the check-in.

We loved our stay here in San José. The property is full of historic charm and feels welcoming the moment you arrive. The location was ideal for us because it’s within walking distance of the bus terminal, which made our early trip to Manuel Antonio simple and stress-free. Above all, the hostess was exceptional - so warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. Her hospitality was unforgettable and truly made this stay special.

It was a great stay. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, city center. And Aida was very welcoming, approachable and very likeable person. The room and bath is good size. Theres a tv, refrigerator and the bed is very comfy. Its very clean as well. Awesome value for money.

I love the location of the property but more than anything the staff! Angelica and Pablo were great and accommodating!
