Beautiful location and grounds not far by car from town of Sarlat le Caneda. Very friendly, helpful hosts. Nicely restored classic French countryside buildings. We were there in off-season so there weren't many people, but is booked well in advance for high season. The property has several rooms in the house as well as several gites. Pools were closed for the season, understandably.

The gardens were beautiful and fragrant. The area was interesting and we enjoyed breakfast.

The room was awesome, the neighborhood is so relaxing but mostly Victor and Bernadette are beyond awesome. When I checked out I had to get about 20 minutes away to my next house and since there was no public transportation Victor drove me

Spectacular setting and inn. Our hosts were extremely helpful - and served an amazing breakfast. We did not have a car but loved the walks to the castle, town, restaurant and nearby Jardín- all highlights of our trip to France.

A fabulous family visit to the Dordogne, made even better with a gracious welcome from the very best hosts - C&M! This was our second visit and we already cannot wait for the third; the pastoral setting between the walnut grove and the beautiful Dordogne river makes for a relaxing and peaceful experience. Rick Steves says it's the best breakfast in France...and it is ! Omelettes made to order, countless choices of cheeses, meats. breads, lots of delicious home made desserts and dishes, including beef bourguignon that took her 48 hours to make ! It's a beautiful mansion / palace right on the river with extensive, lovely grounds, gardens and a large heated pool. The host is the kindest, most hard working and lovely person you could meet. I was playing her son's classical guitar in the parlor and she brought over a carafe of her delicious homemade walnut wine to share with my wife. An amazing and wonderful experience.

I enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the modern upstairs shower with plenty of hot water. The environment was very restful, and I appreciated the surrounding greenery, the privacy of the property, and the convenience of on-site parking. Delphine and Jeff are delightful hosts. The location and gardens of this historic property are spectacular. The room was very beautiful and well appointed.

This stunning and historic house has an amazing view. It is located on a property on the side of a cliff just under Beynac Castle and above the majority of the houses in the village. From the windows, one can see the red tiled roofs of the charming houses below, the winding Dordogne River, an abundance of birds, and the occasional hot air balloon as it makes its way down the valley. The property itself is a treasure. It includes an infinity pool and several beautiful outbuildings and structures. Jeremy, Illies, and a third staff member took turns preparing our breakfast each morning. They were all friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions and needs. The owners/managers of Sarrasins did a very good job of communicating prior to our arrival about the self-check in procedures. I left just a few suggestions below for increased clarity on accessing the property when you arrive.

Bertrand greeted us personally, procured us a parking spot right out front of the house and welcomed us with fresh local strawberries and chilled sparkling water, so lovely after a day of driving! A gracious host who really will make your stay memorable! A magnificent house, beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculate and within walking distance to everything in this special little village of Domme. Bertrand has such a way of making you feel welcome in his home, finding us a dinner reservation as well as sharing his hobbies with us to personalize the stay! (did you know you can also book a dinner he will prepare for you as an extra perk)! The breakfast was a superb highlight! In the morning we awoke to a beautifully laid table outside, sunhats and everything we could have possibly needed to start our day touring this wonderful part of the region! Bertrand spent time with us prior to departure personalizing a road map for us with wonderful recommendations(incidentally some of the best things we discovered on our following day of travel) Overall a wonderful stay in a special location with a superb host!
