B&Bs in Porto Kagio

Idyllic location for a quiet retreat on the exceptional landscape of southern mainland Greece. Very friendly staff that was also extremely communicative and helpful. Recommended.

We stayed for one night (but I wish we’d stayed for two nights at least). Porto Kagio is a very small intimate charming little village stretched across the beach of a small cove. A wonderful getaway spot with stunning views on the approach. The owner Panayioti was kind and generous, offering to help with our bags then bringing us coffee on our patio. Our room was charming and well appointed, with a cupboard, a desk, a suitcase rack, and a little fridge. Clean with a comfortable bed. We had a patio with a sea view and we were a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was served on the top floor patio although the owner offered to serve us on our patio. Breakfast itself was fine although myself I would have liked some fresh fruit too. We did an easy walk around to the point where there is a little church and a stunning view back to the cove. We ate fresh and perfectly cooked fish at Taverna Porto right on the beach. An enjoyable time altogether.

Really a great low cost option in a location that is a hidden gem. You have to get there to appreciate it in full. And the family team running this place is doing such a great job! I extended my stay without hesitation, a first for me, that's how good this place is.

Psamathous Guesthouse is a great Mani classical stone building with very artistic decor. Zamila, the host, was so friendly and nice, taking care of all details. Associated Porto Taverna is very good with nice, friendly staff (dinner and our included breakfast there). Porto Kagio is in an incredibly beautiful coastal cove. 10 minute walk to the small Greek Church - really spectacular, pristine coastal scenery (especially magical in spring, like when we were there!) Such a lovely host, and a very clean room. It was even cleaned on the 2nd day even though we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast plentiful and personalized. Great views and awesome location next to rocky outcrop with a ladder to the sea. Felt very safe too, we could sleep comfortably with doors open day and night. The doors had screens, always a bonus. Room decor and lighting perfect. Adorable balcony too. Would return to this establishment again!

We loved the views and the peacefulness of the village and the location in front of the old port. Owner of the Taverna was helpful, answered our questions and related to us the history of the area.

Everything was great, nice location, very peaceful.
