B&Bs in Naoshima

This is a no-contact check-in, you receive a message where you can find your key and you check in yourself. All works perfect. We booked a small cottage and everything was arranged perfectly. On the table were some dinner tips which we tried and everything was really good. The best are comfortable and the AC works good enough, don't expect a luxury hotel, but a really cosy stay on a beautiful island.

A lovely place to spend time exploring the amazing art and architecture of Naoshima Island. A great location on the pier.

My wife lost a phone somewhere around the island and the staff of the Aisunao went a long way helping us locate it and in the end it was found :) thank you

This guesthouse was the highlight of our stays in Japan so far. Tucked away in the mountains, from your bed you can hear the river flowing and the roosters singing in the morning. The owners are so sweet and offer a lovely breakfast that you can enjoy while looking out at the mountains. Book this place, you won’t regret it!

Very welcoming, let me check in way early because they happened to be in the lobby. Great AC in the room. I believe it cost less because I was solo, even though my room had 2 beds

Wonderful host and spotless condition of the room. Easy access, check-in. Quaint area, easy walking distance to bus stop, dining, port.

Nice location, near the bus line, beautiful garden, simple room with comfy futon, Japanese style. Shared bathrooms and showers; very clean. The owner is a lovely woman who rescues cats. They are in the other building, so no issue if you're allergic.

Great location, right next to the main port, as well as a bunch of bike rental shops and the famed sento. Room had everything you could need + towels were swapped out daily (which is nice if you plan to go to the sento more than once). Great, great value for money. Many of the notes that guests left at the end of their stays indicate that people tend to return to stay here every few years.

Good location to town. A few restaurants. Very helpful host with recommendations especially for dinner (thank you for the warning to reserve in advance). I had a room with private shower - was tiny but functional.

The place was very warm and welcoming, with excellent hospitality. We were treated exceptionally well, and everyone was very kind to us. The location is beautiful

I cannot thank the couple that runs the inn enough for their kindness! All the bicycle shops were closed (due to golden week) and they called their friend who runs one of the shops to open us specifically for us, they also drove us back to the harbour to get the bicycles! The room has everything you need, it’s spacious, clean and the bed is really comfy! Thank you!

Adorable spot sitting above Raumen Tsumu run by a lovely couple. Their English is limited but they showed a lot of warmth. Rooms are newly built and clean. There's a total of 3 rooms with a common area to eat and run a coin operated washer/dryer. The food options on Naoshima Island are limited so living here is sublime. The grilled mackerel is delish paired with a frosty glass of Asahi. The spot isn't close to either of the 2 main ports but it's right in front of the town bus stop: Tennou. Highly recommend :)

Wonderful location close to the major sights and art museums. We appreciated free use of the conventional bicycles to cycle to the art sites. The owner provided transport to the ferry back to Uni at the end of our stay - a welcome surprise.

Our last accommodation was a 13 sq. meter hotel room. The Yellow House was like a mansion after that accommodation with a kitchen, 3 beds, living room, and washing machine. We even had the use of two push bikes. The fridge was loaded with bread, fruit, butter, jam, and yogurt. What a treat! What a gracious host!
