The staff were so friendly! Very kind and helpful. The location was a quick walk to the beach. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. 10/10 would stay again.

Daiki was an excellent host. He went out of his way to bring us some lost and found items, I can't say enough how thankful I am to him. The accommodation was what you expect for a budget, hostel style place. I would recommend it to people looking for budget accommodation in a fantastic location.

My friends and I stayed here over the weekend for KODO's Earth Celebration. The owner of the Guest House was very kind and accommodating to us. Even though he didn't speak much English he was still willing to help us out. The location of the place was very useful as it was next to the bus stop which led to the ports either side of the island.

Close to bus. Host was very kind. Drove us to get groceries and took us on a sightseeing trip. Staying in a traditional Japanese home was a wonderful experience. Room was large with lots of space for luggage. Laundry was easy and able to dry clothes outside in the fresh air. Very quiet area. Host was very knowledgeable and could speak a little English. Very proficient with Google Translate. Wonderful place to stay. Would definitely stay at Yasakabase again.

I stayed for 12 nights at this beautiful temple. The hosts truly went out of their way to make me feel at home, and for this I am very thankful. The room and facilities are very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short or an extended stay. The temple hosts also taught me so many things about Sado Island, the local Hatano community and many other things. I can think of no better place to spend my time on this interesting, bio-diverse island. My heartfelt thanks to the team for all their time, patience and lessons!

This is 100% the most memorable accommodation I’ve stayed at in Japan so far, out of two trips. The host is kind, the food is incredibly good and generous portions. Great ryokan experience. ❤️ The bathrooms and bath (onsen-style) are shared, but were always well cleaned. It’s a small ryokan, so there isn’t a lot of foot traffic in these areas anyway. The bath was very relaxing. Most rooms are traditional tatami. There is parking in front of the building if you rent a car visiting Sado Island (which I heavily recommend). I would want to come back to Nanauraso when I come back to Sado.
