The couple who live in and run the ryokan vacation stay, were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s clear they have a strong sense of hospitality and go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable — from offering several types of shampoo, conditioner, and soap so everyone can find a scent they love, to providing a fully equipped kitchen open for everyone’s use. The house is large and spacious, and our daughters absolutely loved it, running around happily. In addition, the home itself is beautiful — an authentic and immersive traditional Japanese house. We would be happy to stay here again someday.

The best host we have ever had! The entire place is just as they have described and the pictures they provided! It couldn't be any cleaner, and the host couple makes sure to keep the entire place clean and tidy at all times! They also offered us to use their kitchen, all the equipment, fresh vegetables, and anything they had on the fridge! We could also use the washing machine for free! They also helped us find the routes to our next destination and with practically everything:) They were the kindest of hosts:) The room is spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The place is about 10 minutes' walk from the Miyaji station, about 10 minutes to the nearest grocery store, and about 20 minutes to a 24/7 CVS. Hope to visit them again in the future!
