Although the location is a bit far from Kumamoto Castle, it’s manageable if you plan your transportation in advance. The last bus to Kikuchi leaves around 6 PM, so public transport can be a little inconvenient. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The countryside scenery felt peaceful and comforting, reminding me of my hometown. The hosts provided bicycles, and riding through the rice fields was incredibly relaxing and beautiful. The hostess made an absolutely delicious breakfast, and both hosts were unbelievably kind. They treated me like their own child, even driving me to Kumamoto Castle and drawing a route map for me. Their warmth and hospitality made my stay truly special. Next time, I would love to stay for a few more days just to quietly enjoy the rural atmosphere and beautiful countryside life.

The hotel felt very warm and the onsens are completely amazing! The rooms are big and the bed was very comfortable. At night, most of the stores and restaurants are closed or fully booked so make sure to reserve a sit in advance. The area in the morning is wonderful and was not crowded at all. We really enjoyed it and we would be glad to visit again in the future.
