B&Bs in Yamanakako

What I liked about the property was how comfortable I was able to be and how warm and welcoming the staff were. This place is very special and dear to me because not only was the location great but the staff were so accommodating and this place had so much charm to it. The facilities were great as well super clean and sanitary beds were great and I felt very safe here. The best part was having coffee and chatting with the owners Keisuke and Marino. Great people with great stories, I could definitely talk to them for days straight if I wasn’t backpacking throughout Japan. Overall Yamanakako is a hidden gem and there is no better place to stay and experience it than Guesthouse Murabito.

Location was the best. The room, toilet and bath are very clean. Above all, the owner was very accommodating!

We came in late and they kindly left us the key at the reception to check ourselves in. We had a very good night‘s rest and could also park our rental car in front of the building. Definitely worth coming back here. We woke up to a sunrise and Mount Fuji, also took a trip to Lake Ashi but that side was already a little cloudy and Fujisan was hiding, but back at Lake Kawaguchi we could see the volcano in all his glory again. Exceptionally beautiful experience!!!

The owners are absolutely lovely and welcoming. Our highlight was the daily bath time in the bath house. Every guest/group receives 45min. of private bath time and the bath house is absolutely gorgeous. Such a great experience 😍

The hospitality of the hosts was exemplary. Their food, service and the extra efforts in making our stay comfortable made this 1 night stay memorable. The host dropped us off at the bus station 15 mins away on the next day to catch our bus to Mishima train station which was a bonus that I did not expect when making this

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Avenue. The property is very clean, cozy, and well maintained. The location is quiet but still close to shops, restaurants, and Mt. Fuji. The owner went above and beyond—they kindly helped us by taking us to the bus station and even made an itinerary for our train trip, which made everything so much easier. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Yamanakako!

Accessible by bus from Tokyo/Shinjuku. Close to convenience stores and lake.

Beautiful property close to Mt Fuji. Loved seeing the mountain through my window in the morning!
