Warm and welcoming Maria treats you like family. Setting is on peaceful property in the countryside outside Lousa. We stayed in the separate small cottage which was comfortable and would highly recommend. Quiet and a nice change from busy Lisbon. Exceptional breakfast each morning with fresh figs picked by Maria and homemade jams she makes from fruits grown on property along with pastries, fruits, meat and cheese; selection of breads, etc. Great value for the money. Note Maria only accepts cash--no credit cards.

The room was on the small side, but cozy. The bathroom was great. There's a beautiful garden in the back, as well as a pool. It had been hot during the day, so we loved being able to cool off in the pool.

In the middle of such an interesting village. Truly one of a kind. Our house was 2 bdrms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. Owner’s daughter brought us breakfast for the morning and showed us around the village!

Every room in the home was very clean and tidy. All linens provided. The family who live on the property are friendly and helpful. The kitchen had old appliances but was well stocked with every tool for cooking a meal or enjoying a snack. All furnishings provided--sofas, tables and chairs, rugs, decorations. All decorations were traditional Portuguese family style which I prefer to the all modern / all IKEA look.
