I chose it for the location, the great reviews, and the beautiful architecture—and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. The location is fantastic for a first-time visit to Bangkok, and the neighborhood is quiet, charming, and filled with wonderful little eateries. It’s also very close to one of the piers, which makes getting around the city super easy. If you’re traveling with large luggage, I recommend booking one of the bigger rooms. We packed light, so the smaller room we chose was perfect for us. At the end of our trip, we stayed at a different hotel for a change of scenery, and although it was lovely, I found myself wishing we had returned to 1905 Heritage Corner instead. It’s beautiful, convenient, and truly a special place. Highly recommend!

Great hotel with a good location in the quiet part of Chinatown. The view from the balcony was very good. The staff at the reception was nice and let us leave our luggage there for a long time. The rooftop restaurant had spectacular view of Bangkok and the breakfast was amazing.

The tv is huge and new! Fully smart tv and even was logged into Netflix (thanks Camden). Balcony is pretty big too. Bed was comfy and firm and pillows were not hard but not soft. I arrived much later than expected but the girl was super nice and rushed there on a scooter to give me the key. Super responsive to problems (like 5 min to respond).

OB Arun House is a pure and splendid Thai style traditional home stay. If you would like to feel what the life styles of the old town Bangkok people are, here may be the best choice for you! Though it’s in traditional style but inside, they have all a standard modern hotel expected to be equipped!! The host family are all nice & helpful people with smile always. Furthermore I would like to say the suburbs and the house itself should not be only looked as a place to stay, but also it’s a sightseeing itself as a part of the old Bangkok, with the nearby Wat Arun and Grand Palace Areas!!

Great location and walkable to many sites and local restaurants. Near the canal and very quiet. The rooms were exceptionally clean. We would highly recommend the Papaya House.

Great location; good, clean, quiet room, one free gelato a day!, close to the river and river travel piers, close to Wat Arun and Wat Pho, lots of great eateries and massage places nearby.

Excellent value for money hotel. Having all temples and grand palace in walking distance. Having small cafe for morning coffee and breakfast.

I like the cosy room, very quiet and super clean. Functional too ! The tropical garden is a guenine oasis in the middle of BKK. Sani is a very friendly host and provides many useful tips about Thonburi. Thank you ! Off the beaten tracks, away from the skyscrapers, back to the traditional BKK !!!

Grand Palace Hostel was a fantastic stay on our trip. The host was awesome, had a lot of great recommendations, helped us out a lot. The value for the rooms is top notch. Location is pretty good, near attractions, but kind of a quieter area. Depends on what you're looking for.
