Went 33 years ago and it was vibrant and edgy and full with f life and shopping - went again recently. Was disappointed felt run down, full of imports and not worth the visit - there was so much better stuff to do in Bangkok

Not as good as it used to be.

Not as good as it used to be. Too much weed on the streets, the VIBE has totally changed, for the worse. I noticed a lot of the markets and stalls were moving to surrounding streets. Not as busy or fun as it used to be.

There's two roads parallel to each other, one is mental for tourists, loud, a bit crazy, gender identity a little challenge, the other is full of delightful restaurants and street massage parlors where you can get your feet sorted. Much more easy going and fun. Carefully you don't end-up buying a cotton suit you hadn't planned-on. I did, but cheap as chips and good quality, so all good!

I really enjoyed my stay at Khaosan Art Hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Khaosan Art Hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. I also loved the cozy restaurant in the lobby a perfect place to relax, eat, and enjoy the atmosphere. If I had to mention one small downside (in a joking way), it would be that there’s no elevator so make sure you’re fit, because the stairs will definitely give you a bit of extra exercise! 😄 Overall, a great stay and a hotel I would happily recommend.

Have been here several times and it’s changed so much. The more chilled vibes have gone and it’s back to back bars all playing LOUD music. It is a great atmosphere and I would recommend a visit, just be prepared for it!! Embrace it for what it is I guess! Rambuttri rd runs parallel and is a little less mad! Still great though, esp the top end towards the water, you can sit happily with a cold beer and watch the world go by

Location was amazing, a few minutes from Khao San Road, close to the action, but nice and quiet. Room was very nice, great value. Good black out blinds and a comfy bed with great linens. Had bathrobes and good bathroom amenities. Only downside is no pool, but for the price, it was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Location was great. 7/11 very close, you can walk about 20min to Khao San road or take a motor bike taxi for about 25 baht, also very close to Muay Thai stadium. I also recommend Rommani Nat Park where there is a great outdoor gym to use, it’s free if you go early in the morning or after that it’s 10 baht.

Perfect stay in Bangkok. Walking distance to Sam Yot station, but in a very quiet location. Quite close to Khao San Road if you like that (I don't!) but fortunately, you would never know it.
