Highly recommend this hotel, rooms were a good sized, we opt for the premium room. Interior was new and nicely decorated. For families, you'd love that they have a kids club- which was well maintained and HUGE. Service was lovely, they allowed a late check out and very kindly helped us with a car transfer to the hotel. Only did 1 night in this hotel, but would love to return!

Extremely friendly staff. The interior design of the room was nice. I enjoyed the swimming pool. The laundry service was good (but I recommend to use it only if you have enough time, you will get the clean clothes the next day by 6 PM).

This was a little oasis on our busy holiday. To come home and just relax by the pool was simply beautiful. Less the 10mins from the airport but we hardly heard a thing. The staff were very attentive and helped us with anything we needed and the rooms were spacious and well maintained.

Really liked the rooms, very spacious, well equipped. Breakfast was really good, we loved being able to grab water as and when we needed it from the fridges downstairs, same with being able to use hot water 24/7. We didn’t use the pool as we had a lot of day trips but it looked really good. Location is excellent too! 15 min walk from the Saturday and Sunday night markets, as well as the night bazaar

FAQs about hotels in Chiang Mai

The Rose of the North

Surrounded by Thailand’s highest mountains, Chiang Mai is the beloved, idyllic and somewhat mystical capital of the North. With more than 300 temples, it's considered one of the most important cultural centers in the country.

Despite being Thailand's fifth-largest city, Chiang Mai still has a relaxed and laid-back feel. Modernity, trendy shops and boutique hotels haven’t altered much of its picturesque and peaceful atmosphere.

This reputation is partly due to its proximity to lush green areas, mountains like Doi Suthep, and its panoramic Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple. The Doi Inthanon National Park is 37 miles away with Thailand’s highest mountain.

Hotels in Chiang Mai’s old city center are a popular choice, with picturesque scenery featuring its moat and older temples. Chiang Mai hotels can also be found around the Chang Klhan Rd, where the famous Night Bazaar takes place.

The city’s nightlife runs along the Loi Kroh Rd, while Ratchadamneon Road hosts the main Sunday night pedestrian market. Don’t forget to buy an umbrella from Bo Sang and eat a bowl of kao soi.

Whether you arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport or come by land from Bangkok, don’t miss "The Rose of the North" deals on Booking.com!

Chiang Mai old town was my choice to stay and I do not regretted it. You don't need any form of transpotation as everything is walkable. Wear good shoes as the roads, pathways in the old town are not smooth. People with wheelchairs will have issues. You can find temples almost around every second corner. CM has some nice and surprisingly good museums. Plenty restaurants, bars to indulge yourself. Don't miss exploring all the narrow alleyways to find the good deals and to see the diversity of this old town.

I stayed here for 2 weeks and found it very comfortable, plenty of sights to see within a few hours drive, such a memorable experience. So much variety of food everywhere you go and shopping in general. Stick with the markets to shoes, clothes, jewelry, the big shopping centers are more expensive for the same thing, But the food selection in some is unreal. Did this alone but would rather a partner. One other thing to see that isn't listed is The World of Insects Museum, this is a private collection from around the world, other things besides insects too.

I was up even father north at first and after that Chiang Mai felt like being Europe, it is overcrowded with tourists. Many western people are rude, demanding and loud, act like they own the place ( yes I am western myself but I do not like it). This is exactly why I leave Europe, but they just bring their arrogant loud attitude here. It is my first time in Thailand and I love its nature and the Thai people, but honestly I decided not to stay longer because of these tourists and their arrogance. Chiang Mai as a city was nice enough, not entirely what I expected, thought it would be more authentically Thai but I see pubs, kebab places and such, and wannabe hippies who think dressing like a clown makes them 'cool'. I prefer Bangkok honestly. For the positive side, I really enjoyed Doi Suthep, the Thai boxing game with the ladyboys cabaret and it is possible to book at smaller ( real ethical) reservations to have a better experience with the elephants. Note: Washing and bathing with the elrphants is not ethical although many companies may claim so.

I come to Chiang Mai every time I'm in SE Asia.

I come to Chiang Mai every time I'm in SE Asia. It has beautiful temples, lovely scenery, and excellent cuisine. Khao soi is a must try. I highly recommend going to Pha Ploen market on Tuesdays and Thursdays to listen to "La Musica" band. The street food is nice there, too. "The Lost Bookstore" near Thapae Gate is a good place for bibliophiles. Check out the wax figures of venerable monks at Wat Phra Singh, the temple also has a lovely garden. Go up the mountain to Doi Suthep for nice views of the city. And, of course, no trip to Thailand would be complete without elephants. I recommend "Elephant Jungle Sanctuary" for an ethical (no cruelty) elephant experience.

We stayed for 3 nights here and I think it’s enough to cover up most of Chiang Mai city. Old city takes about 2 days if planned right at a slow pace, it’s convenient to get around. You’ll need more days if you plan to take day trips outside of Chiang Mai but overall 4 days were enough to spend here. Tons of food spots for vegans/vegetarians so you won’t go hungry or disappointed at all. We did enjoy a Muay Thai fight to end the day, Ban Kan Wat the artist village is also worth it ;3 hours tops and you can experience everything. (Don’t forget to try the local restaurant/food joint here, Authentic Thai food)

Clean, classy and spacious room with a very comfortable bed and luxury bedding. Location is perfect for us within the old town close to the best restaurants, bakery and cafes. All the staff are super friendly and do a great job making the hotel so welcoming. We’ve been coming here for a few years now and look forward to returning. Now under new ownership I understand, but is even better than before in my opinion. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay.
