Everything here is top notch. Stayed for about a week and loved every minute of it. The location is away from everything but close enough to get a grab. The property has a beautiful garden and great breakfast. The bed was so comfortable and the patio was a great addition. What made my time special were the staff. I really got to know them. Staying here felt like home.

Chiang Rai is a pretty small and quiet city with not a lot going on in town. If you time it right you can see all the major attractions near the city in one day (White and Blue Temple, Big Buddha, Baan Dam Museum) and just need to spend one night there. If you are planning to do things up in the mountains you will need more time. But you will also need a car/motorbike, private driver, or tour if you want to do these things.

There are several nice places to visit.

There are several nice places to visit. Downtown has a couple of nice, peaceful temples and some nice bars and restaurants. The White Temple and the Blue Temple are both worth seeing. Expect there to be crowds. A nice place to while away a couple of hours is the Cat n' Cup. You can have a coffee, hang out, and pet the kitties. Have a nice breakfast at the Hungry Nest Cafe.

Do Much to see and explore.

Do Much to see and explore. Markets, walking tours and all day tours to see all the nearby points of interest as well as cooking classes. Night market steps away yet quiet for sleeping. Safe for solos even elderly!

The people, the environment if not during the smoke season problem, plenty to see, cannot do justification in 2 days, cheaper than Chaing Mai, less touristy Food depends on budget more local are - Timothys very reasonable pay cash, Swensen's for ice-cream, Ribs & Co well known, Japanese style restaurants incl hot pot in Central and Big C, Chicken restaurant next to Clock Tower (cash), bubble teas esp. Old Big C, Chinese restaurant inside Reverie hotel, street food Saturday night market etc. Suggest hire the hotel car for the day and ask for local suggestions of course grab etc. easy driving use car hire

1.Peaceful city in heart of North Thailand.

1.Peaceful city in heart of North Thailand. Beautiful Temples (White & Blue). 2. White Temple (200 THB pp entrance) can be reached by bus for 25 THB per person from Terminal 1 Chiang Rai. Blue Temple (free entry) can be reached by Cab-Bolt or songthaew/tuk-tuk. 3. Night Market is just behind terminal 1 bus station.

In stead of taking a tour which has too many sites to visit,...

In stead of taking a tour which has too many sites to visit, we took Greenbus to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai and stayed 2 nights to explore. White, Blue and Black are all wonderful but my favorite is Black - Baan Dam Museum. We used Grab/Bolt to visit all the sites and easy to get to/from the city centre.

It is a moderate sized boutique hotel, well designed and looks new and clean. The location is very good, walking distance to restaurants and shops and the Sunday night Bazaar. We got a free upgrade to a Suite, which was a nice gesture. The room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is also big with enough toiletries. Bed is comfortable. Then staff are helpful and speak good enough English. The Breakfast is moderate, mainly Asian but sufficient with few egg choices, only white sliced bread, no pastries and no cheeses. There is no pool or gym.

Definitely the best! My 5th time around thailand, don’t know how many places I have stayed at, Homestay is my number one! Even better than the fancy riverside resort in town! Beautiful garden, beautifully decorated room with everything you need, no less equipment than in a 5 star hotel! Friendly atmosphere and excellent service! Very good food prepared by the adorable lady of the house… Very good value for money, I HIGHLY recommend!

The hotel ls located a few minutes by car from city center. So it is quiet and convenient. Cozy atmosphere with cute decor. The room has everything we need especially comfy bed. Everything works well. Delicious breakfast. Very good value for the money. Staff are also super friendly.

Beautiful location and lovely room. Be aware of mosquitoes (not the hotels fault) they actually provide mosquito spray at reception! Location is not within walking distance to the town but the tuk tuks are very reasonably priced and grabs are easy to get. Food in the restaurant was delicious!
