One of my favourite hotel rooms of all time. Central with a clear view of those amazing mountains. We had an unseasonal rainy day after I arrived so it was so nice to see the view from my bed! Upstairs had a great sitting area on the roof with tables and chairs with the same view, great at sunrise and in the morning. Reception was very helpful and friendly with very good English.

This place is a dream! We really wanted to escape from the city to a nice quiet spot and we couldn’t get any better than this. The view is outstanding, the rooms are great, simple, comfortable and nice, the staff is fantastic! I really recommend this place for a romantic getaway. We also got an amazing boat tour during the sunset which was lovely, also the food is delicious! Get the bbq fish

We're finding that the entire country of laos is amazing. I would definitely recommend anybody considering visiting asia to include this country.And especially the northern and middle parts of the country.

I absolutely loved this little town, so much to do at...

I absolutely loved this little town, so much to do at reasonable prices and the views are breathtaking! It's worth hiring a bike rather than paying to go on the tours, as the prices at attractions are very reasonable and you can just pop over there and do what you like. I really enjoyed the viewpoint climbs (I did five of them) and the caves, some of which you need a phone or a head torch and you can go off the beaten (lit) track and climb through little gaps into new caverns and almost get lost. The zip lining seemed safe, I loved it. Kiacking was the only thing I couldn't organise without booking a tour. If you are exhausted with Asian food the Kiwi restaurant (run by a New Zealander) and the French restaurant are incredibly good quality and don't cost more than the best local restaurants.

We are in our mid-fifties.

We are in our mid-fifties. You hear the horror stories of drunk twenty-something backpackers in Vang Vieng, but what we found was all ages having a good time enjoying all the activities this fun little town has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lively centre with good range of bars and cafes. Bit run down in places and lots of dust from traffic and building work on dry days . Becoming very touristy and increasing numbers of large groups of Chinese tourists due to direct train link. Still an interesting place.

The place is gold, scenery awesome and inspiring.

The place is gold, scenery awesome and inspiring. Hot air ballon a must, climb to The view, tough but your reward is at the top, breathless. Make sure you get pic on bike. Lots of other stuff to do, give yourself at last 3 full days to take it in. This place you will remember long after you have left.

I love the sceneries, the loas people are very friendly, nice food. The setback is that there are many potholes along the road from Vientiane to Vang Vieng. I wish the government could improve on the infrastructure.

Hotel can arrange a lot of activities, just ask when booking or on arrival. The sunset with dozens of balloons and paramotors in the air, with the dramatic mountains in the background, is best viewed from the roof terrace! Various transport arrangements can be arranged at the hotel too.

Friendly staff and fantastic location in central Vang Vieng. Cheap budget accommodation - you get what you pay for! The hotel facilities are in need of some attention and TLC. Broken bathroom bench and leaking pipes. The room does not have a window so it’s a very dark room. Noise travels throughout the corridor and there is music playing at a nearby club until midnight every night.

Camellia is one of the best small budget place we have ever stayed so far. The lovely view from window and clean room attracted us stay longer than our plan a day in Vang Vieng. The hotel looked busy but they managed everything in a perfect order. Alex was a helpful host with many useful recommendation in town Strongly stay here again
