It was clean & charming! They offered snacks & coffee with real half & half!😁 Also, a fridge to keep things cold. Downtown was in walking distance. We did not take our car the entire weekend.

The property is an elegant renovation of a New England period architecture. It was easy to walk to the town, shops and restaurants. Portsmouth has a lot of New England charm. The bed was extremely plush and comfortable. The decor was beautiful inside the room and throughout the Inn. The owner John greeted us when we arrived, he explained the history & renovation of the property and made us feel genuinely welcome.

I love staying in a historic inn with wide pine floor boards and Victorian wallpaper. The gardens were lovely, even in winter. I love the extra touches of a warm bathrobe and slippers and excellent coffee with real mugs

The Water Street Inn was the perfect place for a little quiet and relaxing getaway. I loved the cozy vibes and all the beautiful decor. Walking distance to some great little shops and food. Rooms were roomy and comfortable. Host was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was a hit as we were able to meet and get to know some of the other couples staying there. Location was close to the water and a beach. Short drive into York.

Absolutely loved this old home. The care that was done to decorate was wonderful. The breakfast was very good. You were given a menu with several choices, but would fix what you wanted. The scones were the best.

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in South Berwick, Riverhouse is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the garden.

Mark and Mathilde welcomed us into their beautiful home. Accommodations were spacious and beautifully decorated. We had some great conversations with them both about the property and they gave us great tips on local attractions and restaurants. The views of the nearby river were beautiful and calming.
