Beautifully quirky little place, run by a family in the Alps. They really went to town with the Halloween Decorations, and there was a cinema room, although we didn't use it ourselves. We particularly liked the donkey and horses on the field next to us.

Le Grand Chatelard is situated perfectly for cycling tourists. Safe places to store our bikes and a nice selection of craft beers available. The food was great for a hungry cyclist!

Place clearly caters towards cyclists, with a great bike garage, common areas and rooms that are full of cycling photos, gimmicks, souvenirs, and stories, a large plate of pasta in the evening and a welcoming host who himself is a passionate cyclist. Recommended for any cyclists who come along the way. Breakfast was simple but good, with bread, croissant, jam, cheese/meat cuts, some fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals available.

Easy to find. Free parking on the street in front. Very nice and helpful property owner. Very good and inexpensive Italian restaurant / pizzeria nearby.
