I rated this place as exceptional because it truly is. This quiet row house holds quite a surprise when you walk through to the true tropical themed jungle outside the kitchen/sitting/dining area where the hosts gave us a nice cup of tea on arrival and good breakfasts. They were also exceptionally interesting and friendly hosts, taking a real interest in our travels and my daughter's future plans to live in a city they know well. The bed was smaller than I'd remembered, but it was firm and worked for us. There was no a/c but even in the heat wave the house was relatively cool and we slept well with a fan. The attached bathroom was spacious and everything worked well. It was quiet at night. The local pub, the Four Elms, was lively and a good place to watch the World Cup -- except for the very mediocre food. This was one of the few places during my long trip (13 bookings!) where I felt truly welcome and where there was a personal touch to the lodgings and a feeling of community in the neighborhood.

By far one of the nicest properties we have stayed at. The owners, Helen and Matthew were welcoming ,friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The property has been lovely restored with attention given to making sure our stay was perfect. Many extras were provided including: treats for late night munchies, bottled water, milk for tea/coffee, luxury toiletries in case you forgot anything and large fluffy towels. The breakfast included lots of options : fresh fruit, cheese, meats and hot dishes. My avocado toast was overflowing with deliciousness . We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing beautiful 200 years old house with big gardens on 4 hectare land. The photos on the websites are just as beautiful as the reality. The host, Harry and Nicola have been taking care of the house very well, thinking of every details that the guest need during their stay. On top of all that, the services from the host is really excellent. When we arrived late at night, Nicola served a dinner with 2 glasses of wine for the two of us. It was just a very delicious dinner that we ever had. They dedicated their life to give the best to their guests. This is just the right and amazing place to stay, you will have a mesmerized memory by staying on this property.

Great location in Mumbles just up and off the main road. Staff were friendly and provided safe bike storage for us, as well as an upgraded room to ocean view, which was really nice. Room was spacious and comfortable, and we were fine with in room breakfast, as this worked well for our cycle touring schedule. Mumbles is pleasant and popular place to explore and stroll.

The breakfast was prepared exactly how you wanted it. The property was quiet and in a great location. Lucy and Clifford used good messaging (for example, on the slip of paper accompanying the room key) and were not intrusive hosts.

Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and actually ate with us at breakfast. Great banter and incredible standard of food. Location was perfect - quiet, safe parking on the road outside, with plenty of spaces within sight of the room. 5 minutes from city centre and 10 minutes to the Gower coast. Bed really comfortable, bath gowns and clean towels provided and plenty of tea/coffee, biscuits, chocolates etc. Decor was stylish. Toilet, shower and bathroom spotless. Strong wi-fi.
