SwedenThe hotel was situated with an amazing View! The staff was lovely. our room was like a small house with 2 floors and had a small kitchen. we loved it. We ate the hotel breakfast and their homebaked bread was out of this world, perfect! We had 2 lovely nights as we were there for a concert in Dalhalla. we had a car so we could drive around ourselves. Its a beautiful place! we were 4 adults and we all had space!

My friend and I were there for a concert at nearby Dalhalla and I can't wait for an excuse to go back to this hotel and see more of the area.

Great location, very comfortable and homely. The couple who own it are really friendly and hospitable. The owner, Jakov, is a chef and all the food, which is excellent, is homemade and locally sourced.

Knappgården is in a quiet location. I had a nice room with a small kitchenette.
Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of food items to choose from, many of them organic.
Lots of free parking nearby and WiFi worked well.
The hosts Annika and Kjell were very friendly and helpful. They gave me some good advice for exploring nature in the surrounding area which made my stay extra enjoyable. Knappgården has an overall warm atmosphere.

Kajsa and Francisco are exceptional hosts. The property is extremely beautiful, quiet and in excellent condition. We loved just sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view on Lake Siljan. One of the little highlights was the breakfast each morning with homemade buns and everything else you could wish for. You can also charge your EV car here.

We came to Salen for skiing in Klappen. The location was great for this. It is 5-10 min. away. And there were trails closeby for country skiing. There is also a place nearby for renting the skiing equipment which is way cheaper rather than renting them from the ski resort. The place is very cozy, the rooms are warm. Also Göran was a very welcoming and hospitable host. It was great talking to you and learning about the area. It was a pleasent stay. :)

This was a cottage with a nice view of the lake from the house itself and a spectacular view from a few dozens meters.
It is located 250m above Silvan lake and 100m under the Vidablick tower where the view is amazing. The inside of the cottage is functional, charming and quaint. The decoration is a bit old-fashioned but nice.

We booked very late in the day and were the only guests there. Nonetheless we got a very warm welcome from the host. A most charming man with a lot of interesting stories. Great to learn more about Sweden and Iceland.
We were only 2 for breakfast but still he made it like it was for 15 persons. His motto is, everyone deserves the same. Excellent breakfast as well.
The region is very calm in a good way, we were only passing through, but you could spend a day here relaxing and finding some hikes or visiting some small towns.
