Vacation Rentals in Tholária

The property was very clean and the staff was very polite. The rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed every few days. Very good experience overall.

The breakfast was quite special, a lot of thought and care went into it using fresh local produce (apricots from the garden!)

The owners were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with recommendations. We were treated like family. The room was clean and comfy and wasn't boring or typical "hotel" feeling. The view is incredible and the location is overall very quiet and private.

The owner Yulia met us upon arrival with the keys. Her partner George carried our luggage up to the 2nd floor, which was very nice as our luggage was heavy. I was able to park the rental car right out front of the apartment. We were also able to leave our luggage at the compound after check out while were on an excursion. My sister and I would definitely stay here again!

The view, location, service, the amenities, everything!

Petradi Studios is a quiet, relaxing, beautiful place with warm people from the reception, cleaning staff & chef. The manager Yiannis was very available via text for any special need we had & was very personable. We had a small frig in our room to hold a few things & a pod coffee maker & kettle. Beautiful views from our very comfortable sofa on the veranda, close beach to enjoy just down some gentle stairs, wonderful breakfast (for extra cost) and overall just an excellent experience!

The apartment was very well equipped for our 4 day stay. Very large bed & pillows comfortable while bathroom and hot water excellent and the Wifi was very good. Our host Eva lives below the apartment and was a wonderful host who provided some extra treats to help us enjoy our stay, There were only two local Buses (10.20 & 17.20) from Egiali per day so Eva picked us up at the Port and brought us to the Apartment. Plori Studios is highly recommended for a short stay at Egiali in Amorgos and Eva is a wonderful host.

Marco has a complex of 3 homes in the small town of Lagada: his main house and two smaller homes he rents out during the summer. All of them have private entrances and there is plenty of space between them so you are not disturbed by the others. All of the homes are beautifully decorated with contemporary and antique furnishings from Italy and Greece, something the host clearly has put a lot of effort and pride into. Like all villages in Amorgos, there are no roads leading directly to the homes. Instead you park in a central parking lot and walk through the town to the home. It is not a difficult walk but there are some stairs along the way, so traveling light helps. The house we stayed in had a bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with a shower, and a living room / kitchenette that had two sofas converted to beds for our children. There is also a patio with a dining table near the entrance and a balcony with a dining table featuring a lovely view of the surrounding mountains, Eigiali and a bit of the ocean. Marco (and Massimo!) is an excellent host and was incredibly responsive to any questions or requests we had. He will help with luggage, arrange tours, and if you are lucky, show you his cats and beautiful main home. I think he will accommodate any reasonable request from his guests, they just need to reach out and be proactive in asking. We were incredibly grateful to have someone so welcoming and gracious as our host and it was great getting to know him and his background. We had a small crisis with our children and he was remarkably attentive.

Panayiota was the perfect host. Our initial ferry was cancelled and she helped us book a backup ferry. The arrival next one arrived a day later with delays and she arranged for local transport to meet us at the port and take is to the beautiful village of Lagada. She even offered to refund the first night we missed. The apartment is beautiful - completely designed by her. The view from the balcony was amazing and the entire property was quiet and well maintained. There is a second apartment that shares the balcony so ideal for a larger group or two families. She’s always available to answer questions on WhatsApp and lives nearby so can handle anything that comes up.
