Fantastic experience and shukubo! You're allowed to join the morning and evening ceremonies and provided with delicious breakfast and dinner. Everyone here is also very kind.

We loved everything about Yochi-in. We had wonderful meal and the privilege of participating in the afternoon meditation and early morning ceremony. We took a guided tour with one of the temples monk to Okunoin cemetery. Beautiful experience.

Amazing place to stay, extremely recommended. A really great experience in general - I stayed in one of the suites and could not have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful place to stay, only a short walk from Okunoin Cemetary and an easy walk to the rest of town. Very close to the bus stop from Koyasan Station. Staff were always helpful and the meals were unbelievably delicious and satisfying, even though I needed to ask for a soy-free modification. The best food I ate during my stay!

I enjoyed the family room as a solo traveler, plenty of space and the heating was good for me. I chose to stay here because it was too expensive to do temple stay during New Year holiday. The staff were so helpful and the food at the attached restaurant/cafe was delicious^^ I'd love to come back and stay here on my next visit to Koyasan. Very close to bus stop for convenient transport to the top attractions in the town.

We loved our temple stay. We had a lovely room - definitely worth it!! Our delicious dinner was delivered to the room and the morning prayers were a wonderful experience. The grounds were lovely and the location was great.

Amazing experience, we joined in the morning ceremonies and had memorable food. It was pretty cold but the room heaters worked great. The room was spacious, the bed was pretty hard but I am used to a soft bed. Heads up there are no chairs for tired backs and legs, but a soak in their hot bath helps with that. Overall it was great and worth a visit.

The space was clean and accomodating. The meals were delicious and the presenation of the dining experience was top notch. The location was central to many great spots in town, all within walking distance.

This hotel was impressive with a grand entrance, ornate furniture in the foyer and a really old wisteria growing in the front yard that had a trunk as big as a sizeable tree. We were welcomed with tea and given an explanation of the hotel and when our meals would be served. Our room was spacious with an outlook over a lovely landscaped terrace to the main garden beyond. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast here were vegan and given the restrictions in ingredients they can work with, both meals were impressive and, as usual with Japanese food, artistically presented by efficient staff. The hotel has a temple attached and we would recommend attending the early morning prayer ceremony. The chanting by the head priest and 2 other monks was quite moving. Koya-san is a beautiful town and well worth visiting.

The whole stay is a different experience and everybody is super helpful and offers excellent guidance on how to enjoy the best the Shukubo stay. We needed a taxi the next morning, and they very quickly arranged one for us. Super kind and helpful!

Everything was magical, the room was very beautiful and cozy. The place is absolutely outstanding, the breakfast was amazing and all the spiritual ambience was incredible. The fact that we could join the prayer ceremony was very special.

The serene atmosphere of the temple and clean and comfortable accommodation. The staff was attentive and thoughtful. The food was a good experience.

Food was great, they put the expectations low before you arrive and I understand why, but I LOVE it! Public bath/Onsen was a nice surprise and great! The place is a dream, specially with fall leaves. Easily the biggest bedrooms I've seen in Japan.
