The location was wonderful. The mountains made it hard to get to and the roads were scary. Had we not driving in these conditions before we might not of made it to the house. That being said the location was amazing and the infinity pool was well enjoyed. Everything was very clean, including the pool. The owner and his sister responded to our request for tissues in less than an hour. I love to hike and it was amazing to go from the river to the top. Loved the chickens and cats!

We loved this place! The views was fantastic the place was prefect and beautiful. It had everything we needed and if we couldn't fine something we just had to ask. Peter was a perfect host he brought us fruit and wine several times it was great. We will tell all our friends and family about this place. It was the best place to stay on the Douro river.

Beautiful location, spacious area. Beds upstairs are a bit challenging to get up to. Bathroom exceptionally clean and shower was wonderful.

Beautiful location! Calm and tranquil place located atop a mountain that overlooks the valley. Things are close, small town, gas station and river, each less than 15 minutes driving.

I love this wonderful place. The rooms are beautiful and the pool is relaxing. Host is wonderful and kind.and the atmosphere is amazing. The area is stunningly beautiful and the home is spectacular inside and out.

It was a dream staying here! Quinta das Susandas has two beautiful pools that are very clean! All areas are very well organized and decorated, carefully maintained. The staff are extremely friendly and the meals were among the best we had throughout our trip.

It was so clean and well set up, the host Antonio was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Introduced us to the restaurant next door, helped us set up a taxi to the train station. Sylvia made a lovely breakfast!

Beautiful 3 bedroom apartment with a cavernous kitchen. Wonderfully furnished inside a stone architecture that conveys the feeling of Old World luxury. Located high above the valley with wonderful views. The host and on-site lady were very attentive and responsive to any request. Kitchen was well stocked, great shower with plenty of hot water, great wifi, comfortable bed. No detail was overlooked. The great view does come with a price. The roads leading to the apartment are mountainous and winding and the road you park on is quite narrow so you need to exercise caution and take your time. I would highly recommend this apartment when visiting the Douro valley.

The house was beautiful. It was very comfortable and the owners are wonderful people. They welcomed us and gave us suggestions on activities and restaurants. The house has an amazing second story terrace overlooking the valley. The property has a pool and outdoor seating. I highly recommend it.

The room was AMAZING!, They thought of every detail! Everything was super clean!. The food is organic and delicious. The spa was amazing and was included everything. They make the wine there and it is the best wine I have ever had. The place is beautiful!. You can walk around and see the animals they have. The animals are super friendly. We will definitely come back we enjoyed every minute. And the location is very good, you have really good restaurants near by.
