I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and can confidently recommend it. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views that made every moment feel special. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with anything I needed. My room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The food was delicious. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I would gladly stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful host, Due to a delayed flight Jan let us change our booking very obligingly. He gave us great tips for hikes and restaurants. The nice and clean room was even cleaned during our short stay. A nice terrace was available too. Anytime again!

The best part about Casa Cavoquinho is the location! Waking up to a view of the Paúl Valley is indescribable and so beautiful to experience. It’s like something out of a film. A true gem. You’re also close to some great hikes. The rooms are a bit more simple, but the property is clean and well-maintained. Great service and communication from the staff all around. The breakfast and dinner they serve is also delicious. I would come back here and recommend this place to friends.

Amazing place in the middle of the mountains. You can experience what is like to live in a small village and you get to know the people that live there. Every person I met there, including the host, were very friendly and helpful.

A lovely, calm location, with a spectacular view. It's outside of town so best to rent a car, especially since the taxis insist on an exorbitant 8 euros for such a short distance, using the pretext that the last bit of the drive from the main road to the house is a bumpy, bad road. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance so it isn't necessary to go into town for everything. The bed was comfortable, we liked the hammock and we enjoyed having breakfast on the porch. There is no oven or microwave so in order to cook it needs to be something you can make on the stove top.

The room/s were big, it was a whole apartment essentialy. Clean, bathroom was adequate. The old couple owners were lovely, we had communication issues, but the language barrier was more our doing than theirs. Had great sleeps, kept being plied with produce from the garden for our walks. It was very good.

I absolutely loved staying at Residencial Lela d’Fermina and next time I’m back in Santo Antão this is the place I’ll stay at, no doubt. The owner, Mr Antonio, is a gem of a person, and the whole staff was really nice and kind. The room was spacious and had everything I needed — I’d probably just add a kettle. The restaurant across the road was also such a lovely experience, the view is amazing, the owner is so kind, and the food is delicious and so cheap. After the craziness of Mindelo I really appreciated the opportunity to rest at this peaceful place, surrounded by mountains, and chilling by the pool. Antonio is really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he made sure I was taken care of the entirety of my stay. Muito obrigado, Sr António!
