The best part about Casa Cavoquinho is the location! Waking up to a view of the Paúl Valley is indescribable and so beautiful to experience. It’s like something out of a film. A true gem. You’re also close to some great hikes. The rooms are a bit more simple, but the property is clean and well-maintained. Great service and communication from the staff all around. The breakfast and dinner they serve is also delicious. I would come back here and recommend this place to friends.

The room/s were big, it was a whole apartment essentialy. Clean, bathroom was adequate. The old couple owners were lovely, we had communication issues, but the language barrier was more our doing than theirs. Had great sleeps, kept being plied with produce from the garden for our walks. It was very good.

I absolutely loved staying at Residencial Lela d’Fermina and next time I’m back in Santo Antão this is the place I’ll stay at, no doubt. The owner, Mr Antonio, is a gem of a person, and the whole staff was really nice and kind. The room was spacious and had everything I needed — I’d probably just add a kettle. The restaurant across the road was also such a lovely experience, the view is amazing, the owner is so kind, and the food is delicious and so cheap. After the craziness of Mindelo I really appreciated the opportunity to rest at this peaceful place, surrounded by mountains, and chilling by the pool. Antonio is really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he made sure I was taken care of the entirety of my stay. Muito obrigado, Sr António! Tornou a minha viagem memorável, nunca o vou esquecer 🙏
