Cheap hotels in Agua Azul

Probably the best choice of a hotel in La Fortuna town - spotlessly clean room, incredibly friendly staff, amazing garden and of course, the volcano view. 5 min walk to all restaurants, sodas ans shops in La Fortuna. There is a resident 🦥 and we had numerous sitings of iguanas and birds.

Breakfast, location and staff. They also arranged a shuttle to me from SJO.

The Location is very convenient. For the Breakfast there was a variety to choose from.

Everything! The building is new and modern, the room was really comfortable. All the staff I met was very friendly and helpful.

I had an amazing stay at Arenal Monara. The room was clean, confortable with a terrace and a view of the volcano. It is very close to the centre of La Forturna but still very quiet. The owners Angela & Armando are very friendly and helpful. Armando took me for a night hike in the garden next to the restaurant where I saw many frogs and insects, they called me when there was something interesting to see. Great place to stay in La Fortuna.

Friendly staff, great value of stay

An excellent choice for La Fortuna. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the jacuzzi is a great plus.

The house was fine and served its purpose well. Great option if you are in La Fortuna for a few days. It also felt a bit safer inside the gated community.

My family loved everything about the property. We loved that is in La Fortuna, but was also secluded- we had our own little private rainforest with well marked walking trails. The house had all amenities that a family would need to have a comfortable stay. We enjoyed waking up early and having coffee on the hammock while bird watching. The property manager, Josh, was AMAZING! He was there to answer our questions very quickly and helped us set up transportation to and from La Fortuna every day we were there- being that the house is located within a short drive from the city center. He was very informative and upfront of the area and what to expect during our stay.

Very nice gated community just minutes from everything we wanted to do. Easy commute to all restaurants and activities. The house is very spacious and well equipped. Definitely recommend. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked inviting. The hosts were responsive and the keypad on the door gave us piece of mind about having access.

I like the room and space of the room for the money

Quiet neighborhood away from bustle of central Fortuna. Surrounded by lovely gardens and so many birds!

The location was excellent for us because it was not right in downtown La Fortuna. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our room, the pool and property were very clean. The Host and hostess were kind, warm and welcoming made us feel like we were at home. Great view of Arenal Volcano too.

Quiet place, we liked simply everything

The place was perfect! Teresita even helped us find a way to the next destination. Extremely grateful for this place. The outdoor space was perfect for cooking and relaxing.

Peaceful location with beautiful views. On the outskirts of town but still walkable to downtown on quiet streets. Rooms are basic but very clean and quiet. The shared kitchen was great! It was also one of the best hot showers I’ve had in Costa Rica. The staff are friendly and kind. They were very accommodating letting us store out luggage early. Great breakfast too! What you receive for the price is outstanding!
