I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and can confidently recommend it. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views that made every moment feel special. Very friendly and helpful host, Due to a delayed flight Jan let us change our booking very obligingly. He gave us great tips for hikes and restaurants. The nice and clean room was even cleaned during our short stay. A nice terrace was available too. Anytime again!

The family running the hotel were so wonderful- they were smiley and helpful, helping us to book taxis, giving us advice about hikes & transport. When accommodation at our next place didn't work out they happily allowed us to stay another 2 nights. The views over the mountains, tropical plants & coast are breathtaking, and the inner garden courtyard where the rooms face is full of banana & breadfruit trees as well as tropical flowers. The breakfast is big & varied day by day- the view from the breakfast roof terrace room is stunning. They gave us tinfoil to take the sandwiches we had made from breakfast on our hike with us.

I have no words to describe how much I loved this place. I felt instantly at home and I could have stayed for a whole month without getting bored. It’s incredibly comfortable, clean and well located. The food is delicious. The owner helped us plan our days with amazing tips and the animals just wanted to cuddle whenever given a chance. I have to come back!

The best part about Casa Cavoquinho is the location! Waking up to a view of the Paúl Valley is indescribable and so beautiful to experience. It’s like something out of a film. A true gem. You’re also close to some great hikes. The rooms are a bit more simple, but the property is clean and well-maintained. Great service and communication from the staff all around. The breakfast and dinner they serve is also delicious. I would come back here and recommend this place to friends.
