By day, the mountain views are just as breathtaking — the kind that make you rethink what truly matters in life. Have you ever stood on a mountain and watched a cloud drift straight through you? Or breathed so deeply the fresh air made you feel dizzy, like a glass of fine wine? You’ll experience all that here. The cottage sits high on the mountain, about 600 meters from an authentic Svan village called Pari. It’s so secluded you can’t even see the village — just you, the mountain, and the views. The cottage is impressively spacious, with enough room for two families with kids, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The hosts also offer delicious home-cooked meals at very fair prices, made by a local grandmother. My wife literally had tears in her eyes when she tasted the homemade meat blintzes on our first day; she said it reminded her of her childhood home cooking. Outside, the yard is full of great spots: a shaded sitting area under a fruit tree, two hammocks, a swing perched on the cliff edge (perfect for photos), and a firepit to warm up on cool nights. A supermarket is just a 10-minute drive away for basic supplies.

Mari is a very good host, with excellent food and a beautiful yard. The shop is a 5 minute walk away which is a big plus but you can also buy very good wine and taste traditional dishes there. If necessary you can also use the car service. Leri has a car with which you can go everywhere. The prices are also good. A big recommendation from me.
