The host is truly kind and welcoming. The house is cozy and has a warm atmosphere. The meals she prepares are delicious and made with care — I highly recommend requesting them. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful. Although it’s a bit away from the city center, it’s only about a 10-minute walk, so it’s no issue at all. There are both old and new buildings, so you can choose based on your preference. I’m very grateful for the warm hospitality and the host’s constant kindness.

Centrally located on the main road, near the marshrutka stand to Mestia. Clean and comfortable rooms. Attached restaurant serving excellent food. Friendly staff. Excellent value.

Very quiet location where you can hear the running river right behind the guesthouse, yet just a very brief walk to everything else. Very kind and gracious hosts, and this was certainly the absolute best home-cooked food I've had in my Georgian travels.

Staying at Old House in Ushguli felt like stepping back in time—surrounded by centuries of history—yet with all the modern comforts of today. The location is perfect, with stunning views and easy access to the heart of the village. The food was incredible, and I truly wish I had stayed more than one night. A magical and memorable experience.

I felt we were so lucky to be able to spend the night in Ushguli - what a truly stunning place especially after the Mestia day trippers have departed! The guesthouse is very homely, dinner was tasty and the shower was perfect! What we particularly loved was the horse riding. We did about 2 hours (this was enough for me and my six year old) but for the same price you can do a 5 hour ride to the glacier. I wish we could have spent longer here. The new Ushguli-Kutaisi road is excellent (4 hours) - we left early at 6am with a driver and were easily able to make the 11:47 train Kutaisi-Tbilisi arriving at 16:00. I’m sure this new road and the train connections will mean more visitors to Ushguli, not only hikers. Thank you again and highly recommended.

This guest house is run by three generations of a wonderful family that welcomed us into their home with grace and smiles. The house has a magical setting atop a hill that looks out over massive mountains and Ushguli village. The place and hospitality are unique in this world. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it to 5 days!

Amazing and beautiful location, much nicer than staying further on in Iprari as I think most people do. Beautiful old house, with great hammocks and grassy area, the breakfast and dinner were of great quality, and different to the usual fare of the rest of the guesthouses we stayed at. Dinner was 40 Lari pp and breakfast 30, this did feel slightly expensive but you are paying for the remoteness of the village and the 3 lovely hosts 😊

Amazing homestay with super friendly host which will make you feel like litteraly at home. Best homemade food we had in 3 weeks in Georgia. The only downside is we couldn't stay longer :)

I parked right in front of a medieval tower, just outside our hotel. The elderly hosts were incredibly welcoming. Although they only speaks local language, communication was easy as i coordinated everythung over the phone with their son. The host prepeared delicious, traditional meals for me-just be sureto arrange the menu and timingin advance. If you want to experience authentic Svan life, ihighly recommend staying here!
