Amazing staff who are super welcoming and loved that they had water refills there as well. Also a good location where you can rent a motorbike from to go up to the viewpoints or for the hike to sibayak. The room is v cozy and also provide you with a proper blanket as it gets chillier at night here.

The family that runs the place are super nice, went out of their way to help us with everything we needed.

Swindo Homestay is a beautiful home located close to all the great activities of berastagi. The host was so kind and welcoming. It was a great start to visiting Sumatra.

Our room on the ground floor was spacious, comfy and warm. The water heater worked well. We loved taking the local bus right at the door to go downtown to restaurants. It was 30k per person. The host also helped us to hire the local bus to bring us to the starting point of the Sibayak hike. It was not an easy drive!

Very friendly, helpful couple who run the place. The room is comfortable with good hot water in the shower. I arranged with Trisno for transportation to the trailhead (to climb the volcano) and afterward he picked me up and took me to some wonderful hot springs, where he waited patiently while I soaked away the muscle soreness. He also booked a share taxi to Bukit Lawang for me, and he speaks good English, which is not so common in this area.

Excellent green location away from the noisy town center but still convenient because you can reach everything you need (ATM, good choices of food) in 10 min walk. The owner Diana is a wonderful person she let us use her kitchen, fridge, tea etc. She helped us to find the best guides for a day activity and trekking volcano Sibayak. The hot shower was life saving as Berastagi area can get really get bit cold in the evening.

It is like a green oasis on the outskirts of a busy town. The lovely lady was so nice and she has the best contact for the Vulcano trekking tour and all other transport needs you might have.
