My partner and I had a lovely weekend in there, perfect for people who want to have a sky experience. staff is so kind😁😁 Thanks guys for having us 😁😁

It’s homey, cozy, welcoming feeling and especially the friendly, professional staff! Sako was so helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our family, The chef was amazing, preparing a new breakfast every morning and a fabulous Christmas dinner!

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Kobekke with our 9-month old baby. We had read in other reviews that the owners would pick us up from the bus stop, but it was a bonus to learn that there were also multiple shuttles available throughout the day to take us to and from the local ski resort, as well as a shuttle service for dinner time. The rooms are much more spacious than anywhere else we’ve encountered in Japan, and the family that runs Pension Kobekke is so friendly and accommodating. Our baby had the best time in the kids area and we enjoyed the private bath facilities, which were kept clean. We ate dinner at the accommodation one night and the food was delicious and plentiful. There is also a communal lounge area with space to relax in massage chairs, which is great after a day of skiing! The local resort (Tsugaike) is perfect for beginners/intermediate and we hope to return again in the near future.

Awesome location for Cortina and friendliest local staff in the area

If we ever come back to Hakuba we will stay here. The location was perfect for us because it was away from the madness of town. We ended up using the daily shuttle provided to Tsugaike and it worked perfectly. There isn't much for food in that area but we would grab food, snacks, and beer from the konbini in Tsugaike. If you want to get to Hakuba it was just a short walk to the road to catch the shuttle. Alan and his staff are so cool, helpful and fun. We brought our boards but I would have been happy using what he rents next time. Amigo rents good boards.

I love my stay with the Butter Hotel, which is close to Cortina and a decent walk to Norikura, the staff and people here are very nice! I really enjoyed my stay here:) and would recommend this to fellow snowboarders

Good location, right next to hakuba cortina. Easy transportation by bus to the other mountains! Everything was fairly clean and it was nice having separate rooms. Bathrooms were always available as well along with showers! And they had a washer and dryer!!!

The guesthouse is very close to the lifts at Norikura. And you can access Cortina from Norikura. Staff was very nice, everything was clean.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk to Tsugaike Gondola station. Every morning there is a shuttle at 7:45 to Norikura/Cortina(need to sign in before 22:00), and also to the resorts in Hakuba Village at a later time. Best lodge for powder chasing.

Clean, comfortable, and full of Japanese charm—cold public comfort rooms, but a great stay and very near the ski slopes.

Great location & friendly staffs

Great staffs all of them especially the Japanese manager, Tom, Ned: thank you. Very clean n comfortable to stay many nights. Hot yummy BF was served daily. Location is next to bus station, gondola (5’ walk) and 3’ walk to chairlift on back road. Saved my energy carrying heavy ski equipment.

The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. They have a free shuttle to and from the gondola at Tsugaike which was a huge bonus. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back.

I use there for just staying for 1 night. I like owner’s quickly responsive and the room which is good enough for staying. I actually not experienced that much comfortable staying. I also appreciate that worm bath. It’s available on 4pm to 11pm, and you can use by yourself, not like Onsen style which everybody shares. The building is so old as make sound but rooms are pretty good Tatami style. They provide bath towel, face towel, toothbrush and rental hairdryer for free. Hot water and microwave is available for 24 hrs, and it’s so helpful for cup noodles.

Staff was amazing and very accommodating. The location was so close to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort. We were able to walk across the street to the run and ski down to the base. Really enjoyed our stay there!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, zen, spacious, offered complimentary local delicacies in the evening, wine, sake, tea. Easy access to sauna and hot bath on the premises. Good breakfast, shuttle access to ski areas although we had a car so it was easier to get around without relying on the shuttle. A few decent restaurants in the vicinity, but had to drive further for more choices. Young staff really attentive, professional and helpful. I would stay here again.

Three of us stayed here for 5 days. We had the best time! The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a storage area for all of our ski and snowboard gear. There’s also a bus station right down the street that takes you to Iwatake (which you can then transfer to another bus that takes you to every resort.) The best part were the owners — they were so kind and welcoming even though we did not speak Japanese. They cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were so delicious. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay😁

The breakfast was great and the onsen was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. We especially liked the shuttle driver. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Lovely traditional finishes. Great views from our room.
