View of the pond from the room and even better watching the sunset. Very comfortable stay and a well kept place away from the main road but just a short walk to everything in Unzen. The host Takashi-san is very kind and a wonderful person.

The owner was very welcoming and friendly, all the locals who came by were also very fun and friendly, they invited out us for a short outing nearby as well. The onsen was a nice touch. Main social room was cozy with lots of personality, the dorm and bathrooms were good for a quick night in a mountain town.

What a lovely hotel and a lovely town. This place was the highlight of my Japan trip. Rooms were enormous and the facilities were exceptional with an onsite onsen. This region is known for for their vicinity to the underground sulfuric springs and everything is so quaint and lovely. Such a wonderful town and an exceptionally nice hotel to enjoy it from.
