We had a lovely stay at Hagurokan. Excellent Japanese hospitality- we felt very welcomed and cared for. The ryokan itself is beautiful, and the traditional meals were so good. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The hostesses are two very friendly, but strict women. The meal was excellent. It is directly next to the start to the Mount Haguro Climb.

I was surprised to find out that the Hotel has its own Onsen, which guests can use for free! The Onsen facility is good, with lots of amendments in the male facility. It was a great experience! The breakfast facility is also free.
