Cheap hotels in Monnickendam

beautiful location in a small town on the North Sea Channel just 40 minutes from Amsterdam… great walking, few cars… wonderful restaurants, charming homes, a very clean and welcoming town

This was a great location a short bus ride from Amsterdam. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The room/apartment was comfy and clean and well supplied. Only hitch was the host was delayed in meeting us there and so we waited to get in…

Great stay within easy walking distance of Volendam attractions. The Manager was exceptional in terms of communication and willingness to accommodate special requests- ie baggage storage.

It's essentially a farm near Amsterdam, but with excellent public transportation links to the city: about a 10-minute walk, then a 7-10-minute bus ride (which runs quite frequently) to the train station, and from there the city center is within walking distance. The room is clean, spacious, very comfortable and well-appointed, and the hostess is very friendly. The bathroom is quite large and recently renovated, although it's a bit inconvenient because it's located outside our room and you have to go out into the hallway to use it. But these are minor details, and I highly recommend this place.

The mobile home was lovely, with a spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfortable bed. Jan and Reiny were incredibly friendly and helpful. We traveled by bike and took the free ferry to Amsterdam Central Station, just a 30 minute ride. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great breakfast. Took special care to insure mine was gluten free. Upstairs room with sloped floor added to the experience.

Lot of places to eat, it was 5 minutes away from a grocery store/ shopping mall. The place itself had a lot of natural light. 5-10 minutes from a bus stop, and the Bus 305 that takes you to Amsterdam was always on time and it didn't feel like 20-30 minutes . If ever back in the Netherlands 11/10 would stay here again.
