Cheap hotels in Russell

A very spacious room within easy walking distance of the sea front. Very quiet and Russell is what it must be like when you die and go to heaven.

Great place to stay in town and amazingly quiet at night for being right in the centre of town!

It is an historic hotel, so the rooms are small, however, the reason for staying was the history and location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is available. Location is central and is perfect for strolling around town and enjoying the waterfront. Dinner was delicious in the hotel restaurant.

Great location, well fitted out and comfortable apartment

The location is amazing! We fell in love with this little town and this was the very best place to stay. Spacious and quiet but close to everything.

Our host was friendly and welcoming with helpful suggestions for dinner. We loved the peace and tranquility and the pleasant surroundings. The accommodation is very private even though it is on the same property as the host.

Staying at The Sails was like being in a little oasis! Tranquil with stunning views! Just a short walk from town and Restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, etc Eating our breakfast on the patio each morning was delightful. The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable! The host, John was there to greet us and was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property and would most certainly stay here again.

Location is key here. Close to two beaches and two wonderful walking tracks as well. only 2 min by car to Russell Township itself and about an hour on foot (one can combine two lovely shaded walking tracks for that). Russell's Long Beach (another fab swimming beach) is only about 5 min by car. The room is spacious and has all the amenities one would need for a short or longer stay (sorry no kitchen but there are plenty of good restaurants in Russell). Tapeka is the quiet suburb of Russell and if one is lucky one can view kiwi if going out at night.

Every thing about this place was amazing the location, close to Russell, the folks that own it, were delightful, and accommodation, was beyond comfort.

Annie was such a warm, friendly and helpful host. She welcomed us with a beverage, crackers and a delicious homemade relish. She went out of her way to help us figure out our plan for visiting the Bay of Islands. The apartment was very comfortable and clean with a well furnished kitchenette. The yard and gardens were beautiful. We highly recommend staying at Aimeo Cottage.

Beautiful beach view, convenient to so much, very nice and helpful owners and staff, had everything we needed including a kitchenette.
